Before the draft a few years ago I wanted Monfries with our first pick which was pick nine. When we chose russell i almost smashed my computer screen. I wanted Monfries and second option was matthew Bate. Both Monfries and bate went in the early teens and I knew we stuffed up again. 3 years on it looks like i am right on the mark. Monfries and Bate look fantastic tough, hard footballers. Russell is soft and lacks intensity.

jetta has strung a few good games together this year, make no mistake... at this point though to me still has similarities with a young leon davis. is he injured?? haven't noticed him getting a game. he could turn out alright, or he could keep going missing in games like neon use to (or does now, actually).

as for the trade... i think hampson is offering us more at this point... and hopefully into the future. ditto grigg.
