That was a one-off year. He had a blinder in 2007. A one hit-wonder. Jimmy Bartel? Gave him kudos on his consistent year in 2007 but has been shit ever since. Norm Smith, yeah, isn't that a medal won for the best player in the Grand Final? His 2008 was statistically better than his Brownlow year.
2007 - 27.5 disposals per game, 3.9 inside 50's, 3.7 clearances and 18.8 on the scoreboard.
2008 - 28.1 disposals per game, 3.9 inside 50's, 3.7 clearances and 22.15 on the scoreboard.
In 2009, his disposals a game average fell to 27 a game while he spent more time in the back line to cover for Josh Hunt's knee injury which kept him out the year, which is evidenced in his drop in inside 50's, clearances and goals. Was still averaging 26 possessions a game in 2010, but that fell to 22 a game as he played more often across half forward in 2011, while increasing his inside 50 tally to 4 a game and kicking 26.6 for the year.
So, to say he's done nothing since he won the Brownlow is ridiculous in the extreme.

3* Robert Dipierdomenico was BOG in the 1978 gf but they didnt give Norm Smiths out then. He would have been a 5x premiership player, Brownlow Medallist and Norm Smith winner

a one hit wonder huh? Does that make every brownlow medallist who has only won the prestigious award once a one hit wonder? When was the last time sydney won a brownlow medal? the 80's?

Yeah he had a weird game. Racked up plenty of touches, but didn't seem very effective - really stood out as a weird game for him because he is overwhelmingly not like that.
