Any time an interstate player comes out of contract, there is always rumours started that said player wants to go home.

I have never heard anything to suggest Joel Corey is thinking about going home at any stage. In fact, everything i've heard suggests he's keen to finish his career at Geelong.

Yeah. Read some of the same article which said something along the lines of "some big name players have been re-signed 'Stealthily' by the GFC". I remember Lingy and SJ being mentioned and I seem to remember JC being there somewhere too. Things are looking ok to have everyone there for a few more years yet. If we can and we pull of the incredible achievement of three or four flags, damn, isn't that gonna be something to tell your grand kiddies about?

Yeh WC were said to have offered him a 3 yr deal for close to 2 million.
Kinda glad he signed with the cats as WC would have had to give up something good to get him and im glad for his sake as he has alot more to look forward to at the Cats than WC or Freo does at the moment.

We would probably have looked at upgrading our first draft pick - players cost salary cap which we have little spare.
