Richmond FC: What would constitute a cracker deal? Brown will take us from below average to average. Laughing my arse off at "great".

Cormick: Thorpe for our 3rd rounder is beyond laughable Cormick. He would cost a 1st rounder for sure (pick 11-15) or a good player such as Thursfield.

2nd: Johnstone or Cornelius
3rd: Paul Cahill :):thumbsu:

there is no chance that these 3 guys cud drop that low

u must be dreaming
And we got Gourdis last year after being tipped as high as pick 5, in the PSD and Rance, a "likely top 10" at pick 18.

Tell him he's dreamin' :thumbsu:

brown is over rated. past his best.

should go after kerr instead. its obvious we need a quality big bodied midfielder.

Browns kicked 60 odd so far this year with 20 goal assists. not bad for a bloke who has 2 players hanging off him at every contest. Mathews uses him badly and always allows the spare man to sit right in front of him.

The guy is a gun.

until they prove themselves you should think about dreaming dude.
Me thinks alot of tigerheads think that because we got them, they are "likely types" and "will make it". I also think alot of tigerheads forget that the they talk about all and i mean all our draft picks as players who are going to make it, when the form guide suggests that you might find 2 out of 10.
Not the tigers though, whoever we draft are players for the future. Just like Archibald and co. ;)

I wasn't saying they will become any good, I know theyre unproven...I was just showing the Hawks (?) bloke that just because theyre tipped to be picked up before our picks, doesn't mean the players I want to pick up won't be around still, ala Gourdis and Rance last year.

Be handy if they did come good though :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

well if they dont then we are pretty much ****ed and you can pencil in 2020 as the next time our KPIs are on the up. We had 4 years in the wilderness and we have ****ed it up, get with the program. the guy who had the say has been sacked...do you not understand why people get sacked? ;)

The guy will cost too much.

That's basically it in a nutshell. No question he is up there with hte MVP's of the comp but will we get the return on the investment? Questionable. The only way we get him is a 5 year deal on the big bucks as well as offloading high draft picks and/or our best young talent. No thanks. Could he give 5 good years on field to the RFC. Probably not. There's a chance he could player another 5 years relatively injury free but can you be confident of that....of course not. A risk/return analysis tells me that this is one hook we shouldn't be baiting

It's a moot point anyway because JB's management are simply drumming up itnerest to keep the Lions on their toes in negotiations, it wouldn't better his bargaining position to come out and say I will be staying at the Lions regardless now would it?;)

Wtf...you manage to have a go at me at the same time as agreeing to some extent.
Thats a good effort, well done :thumbsu:

not having a go at you dude...the only people i am having a go at sit in the box and steer the tiger ship. You might want to live in denial, but at this point in time although the wins are on the board, i feel we are in some really deep shit.
We havent got a ruckman, we havent got a prospective ruckman, we are now going to the community chest card, to see if we can pull one out of the hat. That will leave us at the same point we are now, 1 ****ing ruckman, when Simmo goes.
We aint got a FL, we are thinking that Cleve might be some kind of answer, but when you look at the overall view of things, if he were the answer, then we wouldnt be debating it, so no one ****ing knows. We have a raft of draftees in the 2s that we are all hoping are gunna make it, even though one of them who was a top pick, is still meandering there while others in his year are tearing it up at senior level getting games under their belts. We are just one ****ing basket case with a coach who has lost the plot.
His selections throughout the year are tantamount to that. He selects players that have the majority of fans thinking WTF and then they go out and confirm why those fans were thinking WTF. He doesnt prepare the team, or cant prepare the team for the matches that matter.
He picks the side, he deems that the players he picks are the ones that are going to carry out his orders and respond to his urgings and yet, we go to the G in a game against a team who is at the same level as us and watch them overrun us without giving a whimper. Then we watch the same personel go to Adelaide in a do or die season defining moment and what happens? nothing...zero, not even a ****iong yelp and you are going to sit there and tell me that TW isnt accountable? Yeah well if he is, then i would suggest 5 changes this week dont you? Because dont know about you, but if i were the caoch of the emabarassment that were the tigers last week, i would be livid and sending a message to all and sundry. But he wont because he doesnt know what to do now, because our list is bordering on shit give or take a few players.

We went to Sydney without a care in the world that it might be wet and we ended up skating around being torn a new one. There are to many negatives that have occured this year to suggest TW has any foot to stand on when it comes to telling me and alot of others that he has it all under control, under a blueprint that he is sticking by.
If he stays, the proof of our position will come at the end of the year at trade time. Stay tuned dude...the Spud reborn is about to happen. ;)

Lol, fair enough.

I agree with lack of ruck and lack of forward line...and we should be playing more kids to some extent.

So, in sticking with the topic, I dont think we should get Brown.

like i said to late she cried, they should have pulled out all stops to get Fev when the door was ajar, but naaa, we were always going to be to smart to get sucked into that werent we? We had GM doing his stuff, and boy hanst he kicked a few beauties huh? I mean, JON, Bling etc...they are just setting the footy world on fire arent they? ;)
