Sweet was playing some dam good footy up until recently, just out of sorts is all. There’s no way the clubs telling him he’s not part of the future.

Port need 2 quality rucks. We pick up a rookie then that’s 5 years getting him up to speed.

Sweet has a long term career at Port unless he chooses to leave.

I’d actually give Soldo a couple of games if it makes him easier to off load.

Actually big chance, Geelong offered 5 years at $3.5m after the Finals campaign.

Unless a Vic club is offering Sweet a deal he cannot refuse and port gets a decent pick. You’ll have to consider it.

Trade him away and run with Visentini or keep him as just depth. He will never offer anything around the ground and cant take a mark to save himself. In fact has he ever been able to take one long down the line or get back to provide cover? Even ROB who the crows fans hate can manage this, as seen in the dying minutes last week.

He goes at one of the worst hitouts to advantage this year, when considering hitouts is all he offers it leaves a lot to be desired. (25%)

Yeah I would doubt he's being pushed out, but considering the need to structure big deals for Butters and Bergman along with our desperation to get back into the draft, I wouldn't categorically rule it out either.

He had an offer for extension on the table that was pulled when he was dropped, assume a motivation tactic. Apparently the opposite, hence the reach back out to Geelong.

I’d like to think he’s in the Rat mould of handy battler that netted Geelong pick 32. Similar would be required for Sweet but his departure would also free up cap space.

Could you imagine Sweet at Geelong? Marvel Studios wouldn't need a CGI Hulk any more. Just paint Jordy green.

Also lead ruck going price is a first round pick. Just sayin'.

No ITK on our board has ever brought it up and makes me question where this information is coming from?

1. Cats just re-signed multiple ruckman
2. why would they then throw out huge money at a Ruck when they’ve already got Conway and Edward’s on the list who they are investing years and time into? Stanley is still playing to hold over until they are ready, SDK and Neale can play ruck as well
3. No reporter or media site with any integrity has reported it either

Smells like rubbish

What ruckman do you speak of?

I can only think of 3 but my knowledge is poor. Blicavs who rarely plays ruck and is getting on, Stanley who is getting on and not rated and De Koning who often plays in defence.
