I agree with PO what stands out is that he is a competitor. I don't think he is the brightest guy but he is exactly the sort of guy that thrives in an AFL environment, takes instruction well and will do anything to succeed.
He was an absolute steal for that compensation pick.

Meh most 21 year old guys aren't what you'd call stellar media performers or intellectual giants... leave the kid be.
Sets up the sealer... gimme a minute or two.I like it but you need to include the bit where he avoids two crows players and then kicks it.![]()
I have always said he reminded me of Bartel but the way he is evolving he seems to have become more brutish than Jimmy. Elements of Dangerfield I suppose. Both he and Guthrie have strength and pace to break away from tackling arms when around the contest. When we add JJ , we are going to have a strong group of young contest driven mids.
He's neither. Let him be himself. He's already faster than Bartel ever was.
Same for everybody in the new crop, I can't see a single one of them who is even anything like a direct match in overall style or assets with any of the golden boys. The most you can say is that some of them have some similar abilities.
Well Bartel was no Craig Biddiscombe I know that much.

That's news to me.
Mainly because I have NFI about what that other bloke was like.![]()

Biddiscombe!
Biscuits Arnott, Marty McKinnon, Houlihan, Scotty Bamford on the wing waiting for the easy ball.....those were the days
(things really were bleak back then)
I don't remember Roberts at all to be honest. Do you know when he played?
I recall Marcus Baldwin and obviously Brett Spinks who never went on to develop or become better players
....... You call yourself a Geelong supporter yet don't know the CHAMPION Craig Biddiscombe!
Just check out these achievements:
Pick 59 1993 Draft.
Rising Star nomination.
34 games and 6 goals for Geelong.
Wowee what a list!
