is on some strife I think for a head high hit on a guy with his head over the ball...can't remember who it is but he could get a week or two...

He may get some leniency in that he was slightly screened but in trouble none-the-less...

I'm not really sure what Josh could have done in that situation - the guy basically ran into him with his head down. It's still a contact sport - sometimes accidental contact is going to happen.

Might not have been his fault, but I reckon he'll get a couple of weeks.

It means we start next season on the back foot straight away missing one of our key players... :(

A Brisbane player (Roe?) last week got suspended for one match for a much, much worse incident. I assume Josh has some carry over points, hopefully he doesn't miss more than a week. The commentators jumped to Josh's defense.

I'll be really worried if he gets rubbed out for games in 2008. 2007 was essentially over after 3 rounds. If we hit round one without Bell and Josh Carr we could be in trouble again. The first month of next season is huge for our footy club.

Problem is - we may have that problem again of key personal gawn at the start of the season. I didn't think there was much in it compared to other cases gone before the MRP this season, but all your chatter has made me concerned he is indeed no going to cop a fortnight to 3 weeks for this.
It's not like the Melbourne player was hurt at all and got straight back up. Contact was minimal. In the context of Carr's incident compared to say Johnson's where he had time and lined up that Melbourne player for a nasty crunch, there is a world of difference.

Johno got 4 weeks because someone wanted to sniff his crack

Oooooh there's gotta be an eagles joke in there somewhere.

I've only seen the Carr bump once but my impression was the guy pretty much turned into him at the last minute. Didn't really seem like Carr had time to avoid contact. Be interesting to see it again.

I think he is in trouble and may get a week or 2. I know there was next to nothing in it but its head contact and the MRP have cracked down on it this year. Having said that King got off a striking charge last week against the eagles where he almost broke Armstrongs jaw.

Who knows with the MRP - especially when we go up

Nah...bring in Andrew Browne. Has been in Claremont's best the last couple of weeks! :thumbsu:

Wow. I didn't think there was much in it. To think Buchanan got the same suspension when the incidents are worlds apart! I think he's a bit unlucky!
