Just read article on Fox sports, and yes Josh is in doubt for tommorrow night's game.Has got back complaints we can't risk him.Looks like Bryan and richards will have to play.
Shiteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

As disastrous as this could be, im quite eager to see how Bryan and Richards go without Josh.

I know we love slinging shit on these guys, but it would be an opportunity for either of them to show why they should be on our list in years to come.

Is there any other news from training?

Buckley, Didak, Pendles, Cloke etc

No shows: Fraser, Cox, Clarke

Looked sharp: Buckley, Rusling

Training with the main group: Wellingham, Stanley, Bryan, Richards, Wakelin (Reid and Toovey didn't train with the main group, so they're out of selection calculations, you'd think)

Rhyce Shaw and O'Brien both left the track a bit early. But seemed to be moving OK, so no worries there.

Also, Holland did some sprints at the end of the training session. To my eyes, he looked a little proppy, so maybe the achilles is still troubling him.

Pendles seemed to move OK, as did Trav and Didak.

I think Rusling is a certainty to play tomorrow, as are Thomas, Cloke, and Didak. I'd expect Pendlebury to play too, with the proviso that his foot pulls up OK after training.

I'd like to see us play Stanley and throw him into the centre square tomorrow night.

Thanks for the update!

Some interesting points. Bryan and Richards training with no Fraser - help us!!!

I am confident that Rusling and Wellingham will play. Also agree with you about Stanley.

What I am most happy about is Buckley getting through OK! I feel like I need to hold my breath each training session he is involved in!

Yeah, he really seemed to relish getting out there and having a run round. He didn't seem to hold back. Moved well and had great distance on his kicks. Didn't train like he was trying to 'protect' his hammy, so that's positive.

I went down to training today and asked Bluey on his way back to the Lexus if Joshy was going to play and he said, "hes fine, he should play".

Is Bluey an honest man?

Would take that with a pinch of salt. Don't think Bluey has a great track record when it comes to these sorts of things...

Can we afford to take a punt and not play him? He's a very important player to our structure, as we know.

On the other hand, I would love to see Guy Richards and Chris Bryan share the ruck duties, see what they bring to the table, it's an interesting dilemma we're in at the present time. They need to grab this opportunity with both hands.

Agreed, lets play Bryan and Richards. Give Josh a week off.

Stanley also to play - leave him in the middle!!!

Funnily enough I'm also interested in watching them both have a go at the ruck knowing that there is no Fraser to back them up. Gotch's report on Richards was pretty positive, he played almost 100% game time and never put his hand up to come off, got 41 hitouts 14 touches, said most of them were pretty clean but the midfielders beat their opponents at sharking the taps. Leave Guy on for most of the game, because whenever I watch him at training or in a pre-season game his skills are actually pretty good, at AFL level he stuffs up, his confidence takes a big wack and his game suffers considerably. If only we could buy confidence, the first player you'd give it to would be Stretch.

Richards centre square thats where he is at his best (not a very good best mind you)
Bryan around the ground where he can use his body strength to an advatage (see brackets n richards)
Stanley is the ****en centre where he can use his speed and fricken hard nosed attitude to get us some clearences.

I have heard from a reliable source that he is having back spasms and is in serious doubt for this week. We are in strife in it is true.

Cheers Columbo!!!!! He wasnt supposed to play last Friday night but he did now he is back to square 1........I would rest Rocca too his performances over the last 4 games against Melbourne have been pathetic Holland/Carroll own him and will again Friday night if he plays

Good idea.If we are going to rest josh, and travis cloke then we should rest rocca, cause as mac daicos has stated he will get towled up by either holland /carroll.so let's bring in Richards, rusling, reid, and that player what's his name,um,um,that's right BUCKLEY.

Guy Richards and Chris Bryan rucking together would look like this

One of the players said on sen radio earlier this year that Josh had a sore back, and that was weeks ago. He has probably been carrying it for a while.

Most likely been carrying it all season

Has struggled around the ground, and at times looks like he is battling to just keep up.........when he is fit his strength is his hard running around the ground, this year it has been absent pretty much from rnd 1 against the kangas, or he only produces in a quarter burst!
