Was having a discussion can't remember with who. But about our rucking situation. I was saying that Fraser will play backup role to Jolly who will take 80-85% of the minutes with Fraser playing a similiar relieving role to Leigh Brown from this year. I was explaining that Fraser will be used more accross the half forwardline next season.
Whoever I was having the discussion with thought that Wood will be the Backup ruckman to Jolly, which while being a possibility I can't see as Fraser is a leader within the club both on and off the field and is well respected. He brings great versatility to the team and is a great ground level player for his height. I really like the idea of him playing 15-20% ruck and roaming around the half forward flank which might take some pressure off Travis Cloke hopefully giving us another tall option to further build upon our great forward flexibilitiy.
Article reflects exactly what I said yesterday.
*No I am not MM. Or a club insider. But just think that the timeing of the article was good.*
