Seems to make the bests a lot, but is apparently quite small. Only about 174-176 cm.
And Brent Harvey is 172cm, height isn't an issue, I hate recruiters who think it is, as long as he is over 170cm he will be tall enough, and being 16yo/17yo/18yo he will still probably grow an extra centimetre or two over the next 2-4 years.

Brent Harvey is an exception to the rule.

You have to be extremely talented to make it as a decent player if you're under 175cm.

So we should delist Foley?

From what I have heard, and it isn't much if he is 174cm now, and I am guessing he is 16 or 17 years old, then it means he will grow, most likely will end up about 177cm by the time he has matured(Same height as Foley).

Why not throw our last pick at him and see what happens.

I've got no problem with picking him because the kid is talented by all reports but being 174cm it's a bloody hard road to make it and recruiters dont want to touch you, just look at the Caruso boys for an example of talent being completely overlooked because of height.

Much easier being an ordinary 185cm player than 175cm. Just the nature of the beast.

i agree you can get found out alot when you are giving inches away, but i would hate to see him get picked up by a opposition club, only to watch him come good. going by his form this year i would say he is aleast worth a late pick.

Not to worry guys, when young Josh comes into the team, the days of Milney kicking 7 will be over. He'll be a gem ;)

we also already have a number of small light bodied players, the reality is you just cant have too many players that small no matter how good they are.

still no problems picking him up if he can play.:thumbsu:

Exactly. You can't have too many short people in the guts or other teams will walk all over you.

We got rid of Rodan because playing him and Foley at the same time would have made us too small.

If young freezer is to be picked up, he'll need to be *VERY* good, and/or specialise in the fp/bp.
