Any evidence he ever requested a trade? Any evidence at all? Anything?

Any evidence there were ever any discussions between the clubs? Any?

In short - the people who said he was coming to Carlton and who you said were 100% correct were actually 100% WRONG.

If he was staying at GWS, he would have signed by now. We're about to start round 23.

If he was a definite on going to North, other clubs like Carlton and Essendon wouldn't be suddenly upping the ante. Clearly other teams see him as gettable.

Where he ends up is anyone's guess, but it doesn't look like it will be GWS or North based on how these things usually play out.

There was paper talk at the time but nothing to the level he was suggesting.

I know it sounds crazy, but it is true that Carlton thought they had Tomlinson, but for a last minute change of mind from GWS.

I was told that Tomlinson and his family were not very happy with proceedings, but since, Carlton took CCurnow (H.McKay really, as Carlton would have taken Charlie and not Harry with the earier pick) and Tomlinson is playing good football at GWS. All's well...........

Pretty much, odds are Zaka will be leaving at this point purely because of how late in the season it is without any indication that contract talks have progressed.

Perhaps the AFLPA deal has delayed a lot of talks this year

I'd say Zaka, being a good Essendon man and Managed by Scott Lucas would have agreed to terms with the Bombers. They'd now be waiting to see if we are any chance of luring a big fish. If so this would then determine whether we needed to front or backload his contract based on what the fishy needs. Plausible???.
