If I was Kelly I'd be sussing out whether any team has the capacity to get him and Martin in.

Yeah this, if North pull off Martin and they have the space for Kelly it could be a a massive incentive for him. Playing with another gun that also takes some of the heat off him. Along with Norths bookends (I reckon their list isn't as bad as some make out) it would be a fantastic line up.

Well you've been had. His manager basically admitted the only offers that have been tabled are from North and GWS. That is all it has ever been. SEN have imposed their st kilda agenda, and brown threw out carlton and the media have ran with it.
Do you honestly believe the only offers for a young gun who may be wanting to return home are from GWS and 1 Melbourne Club? Really?

Have heard from a pretty good source he has agreed to terms at the Hawks. Getting rid of Mitchell and Lewis plus Hodge and Gibson this year sets up their cap to afford him on a 6 year deal.

Derp. Hodge, mitchell and gibson (also burgoyne) re-signed last year for minimum wage.
Them retiring/leaving does very very little to their cap

North fans will definitely be devastated if he (and Martin) rejects their offer. Carlton and Saints fans are pretty happy with their developing lists so will likely move on pretty quickly.

GWS will be pretty cut that a superstar has left but their list is still so strong and they will get a very healthy return for him.

The same developing list you have had since 1996?

3 mil for two players sounds like a recipe for disaster to me.
Almost 25% of your TPP for 5% of your list personnel. That's completely out of balance.

Considering that is what his manager said. Not to mention carlton admitted that had not put an offer in front of kelly.

I think the very last person you would want to believe in terms of what is going on with a player is his manager.

An "offer" can be defined or undefined many ways. But if you think at least Saints and Carlton and Essendon have not verballed Kelly's management with ideas around terms and numbers then you are more deluded than most on these boards.

Not deluded. Just don't fall for media spin that is designed to boost newspaper sales or increase tv ratings. It's in Connor's best interest to say every melbourne club has tabled a bid so that it increases offers etc. But he didn't. Keep believing SEN though - it's not like they are run by saints supporters with an agenda or anything...

Well again, forget about media conspiracy theories. A guy widely regarded to be in the top 3 or 4 under 25 year old midfielders in the country is weighing up a new club and return to Melbourne and the only two clubs that have put offers on the table are his existing club and ONE OTHER CLUB.

As I said, "offer" can be defined and undefined. Connors does not need to generate hype around Kelly, it is an open market and everyone knows what he is. My guess is that he only has two offers in writing and that would make sense as the other clubs hold out to see what they need to formally beat.

A couple of years ago, Dustin Martin - at the time one of the top 3 or 4 under 25 midfielders - was out of contract. GWS made him an offer.

Stuff the Melbourne clubs - Gold Coast and Brisbane would be negligent if they hadn't picked up a phone and asked his manager what the going salary for a very good out of contract young mid is.

I think we will have to give up two ver

I just hate how young players can seem to go wherever they like and the clubs have no power. Would you think it fair if Cripps was out if contract this year and requested a trade to Fremantle. The club has no leverage. I think the club should have the ability to trade
the player to highest bidder. No problem them leaving when they have gone their 7 years.
It's a long time since I heard someone argue for indentured labour.

And I'm only talking about formal offers not "yeah he'd fit well in our team" types that every list manager in the country would admit. North are the only reason why he didn't sign with GWS at the beginning of the year. He was about to but the mega offer by North made him reconsider. It's out of two deals and GWS are the favourites. Deal with it. Saints were never in the running. Carlton supporters are getting their hopes up based on Brown's comment on "on the couch" that "journalists" like mcclure and co ran with.

Sorry to burst your bubble.
