Breust + 2018 1st + a 2nd rounder they'll need to trade for.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought I heard there was a rule you can't trade your 1st rounder for consecutive years? Or it's allowed?

Edit: Actually nvm checked, it's allowed.

I've heard the NRL have offered him a massive deal to pay the AFL back for the Folau and Hunt exercise. He is going to be the franchise player for the new Perth team they are putting in the hole in the market that the departure of the Force left. When you think about it then it just makes perfect sense.

I just can't believe it's taken them so long.

I hope he resigns with GWS and wins a flag with the. I think players should stay with their club until at least they make it to a free agent. If he wants to leave now GWS should have the right to trade him to the highest bidder.

Carlton should just take our pick 4 and try and turn that into the next Kelly and keep being patient.

Why turn a player into the next Kelly when you can have the current Kelly guaranteed.

It's like buying a lotto ticket with the hope of winning a million dollars, or paying 500k for a million dollar winning ticket.

Have heard from a pretty good source he has agreed to terms at the Hawks. Getting rid of Mitchell and Lewis plus Hodge and Gibson this year sets up their cap to afford him on a 6 year deal.
I've heard from a source very close to the club that the Hawks are certainly interested in acquiring his services - Bradley Hill's absence has been felt this year.

Personally, I consider him an excellent young footballer and I'd welcome him to Waverley with open arms, even though I consider the enormity of the hype surrounding him to be unwarranted. Josh is a terrific athlete, knows how to get the footy, has an eye for the big sticks and is quantitatively efficient with his ball use. Thing is, I'm not at all convinced by the effectiveness of his disposal - I've watched him closely throughout the year and a lot of his possessions are meaningless.. not to mention, his game is heavily reliant on the quality of GWS's inside mids. I realise I'm dissenting from the majority here, but I wouldn't put him in the Giants' top 5. But hey, I'm no expert and would be happy to have my doubts proven wrong.

I just hate how young players can seem to go wherever they like and the clubs have no power. Would you think it fair if Cripps was out if contract this year and requested a trade to Fremantle. The club has no leverage. I think the club should have the ability to trade
the player to highest bidder. No problem them leaving when they have gone their 7 years.

I do agree that players have too much power in trade negotiations. I wouldn't be surprised if in the next CBA that clubs will be able to trade players without the players agreeing to the trade.

Well you've been had. His manager basically admitted the only offers that have been tabled are from North and GWS. That is all it has ever been. SEN have imposed their st kilda agenda, and brown threw out carlton and the media have ran with it.

There are 3 posters on our forum that are in the know and are 100 percent with rumors.

They called Marchbank and Pickett midway through last year, correctly called Thomlinson the year before (although he ultimately stayed with GWS), correctly called Craigs reteriement weeks before the club notified everyone (and notified us Bruce was coming on board) correctly called the exact trade with Geelong for Touhy (including a future 1st when we all thought that was impossible for Geelong to trade it this year), and many many more.

The rumors they post are simply too precise (and too often on the money) to be guesswork.

All three confirm we are in this up to our eyeballs, that we have put a (substantial) offer forward, and that an ex player and recent Brownlow medallist of ours has (volunteered) to even have a chat to JK to convince him to come down and play for us.

I have zero reason to doubt them (and I generally dismiss most of what I read on here as crap).

Defeats the purpose of free agency when players are just requesting the team they want anyway. The players have chosen this lifestyle so they shouldn't get to dictate terms while they're part of another club.

In all seriousness biases aside if i had to pick out of North,Saints and Carlton and i was in Kelly's shoes it would have to be Saints because they are further ahead with their rebuild.

But alot of peolpe saying Kelly might stay at GWS and if he does that I'll give him credit for sticking it out but i don't think he will stay Imo.

Not long now i guess before we find out.

Also as we have seen in the past i woudn't be surprised if a Haw/Ess or someone else surprises us all.

Yeah I'd like him at North but until i can be certain i can only wait and see.
