Does anyone else think that he needs a bit of time back at the bullants, where he can play a full game and build his confidence again.?

Agree why play him without giving him game time. I think he played a half today but he will be a very good player.

He should be played ahead of Waite and Fisher who can't kick to save themselves; the Clanger Kings

Kennedy straightens us up unlike the other two

Plays a good game last week and get's a splintered arse the next

I was at the match andi i had my eye on him in the 1st half. He will be a great player, you can tell by the way he moves and reads the game. He will be one of the best overhead marks in teh AFL in 5 years. The next Riewoltd IMO.

Bit disappointed in his game today. On a day favouring high marking players, he appeared lost. Probably not used to the close checking of AFL quality defenders & also seems too have struggled adjusting to the pace of senior AFL footy. Needs some more time at VFL level for a while to re establish some confidence. I have no doubt he will be an asset for the Blues with more confidence & experience.

Personally I dont think he should be dropped. He wasnt on the ground in long enough stints to determine wether he should be dropped or not.I was a bit dissapointed how he was managed today.I think if was given a bit more room in the 50 and more game time he would have done well against whoever was his opponent

Have to agree, definitely should not be dropped. I thought he got lost in traffic a fair bit today. There were so many marking options in the forward line with Fevola, Waite, Fisher, Bryan and even Whitnall that there was not a lot of space for Kennedy to work in. He showed last week what he is capable of when given room to move and I have no doubt that given the same space again he will acquit himself very well.

I thought he never got a real opportunity today.

I prefer him playing full games for the Bullants and kicking 5 goals, rather then a qtr in the seniors.

Yeah agree, was used sparingly with Fish, Waite, Bryan and Kouta playing rotating through the forward 50, as well as Whitnall (and obviously Fev). Like him, but if he's not playing, much better for him to dominate at VFL level, although he deserves to be in the side next week.

Don't know how much ground time he got but only getting 3 possessions is usually a sign that he''be sent back to the VFL to get more opportunity.

Really didn't do much today on a day that I was expecting him to do a little bit more. Wouldn't be surprised if he was dropped, would not be disappointed either. He has shown me enough to suggest that he has a huge future at Carlton. His work ethic is magnificent, and I really really like the look of him.

It may be good to drop him for a few weeks so that he passes the minimum games allowed to be eligible to play VFL finals. I think that he has 2 or 3 to go until he reaches this mark. But, I don't think that we will drop him, our forward line would be underdone if so. Fev is magnificent, but doesn't look 100%. Waitey and Fish are obviously still very underdone. Kouta was good but he will tire if he is to be one of the focal points up forward for an entire game, as he has just come back from a reasonably big injury. Our forward stocks are slightly depleted at the moment, which is why I think that Kennedy should and will stay in the senior team, at least for a few more weeks.

If that is the case, we must drop him for that amount of games, because he would learn a lot from playing VFL finals and he should be out there. Same with Russell, Blackwell and Setanta.

excellent point! Setanta, Blackwell and Russell probably have played enough already to be in for the finals?

JK had a chance and when he does people stuff it up for him. eg. mcgrath snap it to him but it fell short by a mile. probaly wouldnt hurt play him vfl. as for blackers and co keep them in until they play crap. thought russsel wasnt much had his chance but was out market a lot.

Lappin should come back in this week, and we need to play him in the backline where he can provide run.

IN: Lappin
OUT: Russell

Unless Lappin plays an absolute blinder for the Bullants today he should not be brought back into the seniors. He has done nothing all season and the way he is playing reminds of Campo last year. Unless he has a major change of attitude he should not fit into our future plans. We have heaps of good youngsters developing nicely, they are our future, not Lappin.

43 MINUTES, thats the total time he spent on the ground, why? Waites first game back from injury and he gets twice that time, no wonder Kennedy had 3 poss.
Send him back to VFL and dominate there, obviously we are going to well and dont need him! isnt it great to have the comp best young chf sitting on the bench in a team battling for the wooden spoon.

Is that the message they're sending him and are they suggesting he retires at the end of the year or face playing the bulk of next year in the bullants, which he might not want to do (he is contracted).

My thoughts exactly!! Josh Kennedy should be on the ground for longer than 43 minutes and the midfielders should be looking for him as a target in the forward line.

Why he was on the bench amazes me, especially considering we lacked in the foward line yesterday with Waite always trying to do the more spectacular things than the easy things and Fisher who had terrible disposal yesterday.

JK should not be dropped because you can't judge his game on a pathetic 43 minutes. Pagan, wake up and smell the roses and leave JK on the ground and tell the players to use him, not abuse him (by not kicking to him!)
