Josh Rachele vs Nick Watson

I have these two as very similar players.
Both ham it up, both can kick bunches of goals, both are fan favourites with the only point of difference is that Josh is taller and more capable of going through the midfield, even if I think he should stay in the forward 50 all game.

I find the view 'comfortably' one or the other interesting. After all, Watson is over 2 years younger and has played less than half the games, but already averages more goals per game than Rachele. I don't think it is clear who is going to be the better player, let alone one comfortably over the other.

I looked at career average (for both) rather than the 8 games Rachele has played this year.

Rachele has really bounced back after his punishment last year. It could have been the turning point in his career where he becomes elite. His last two weeks have been ridiculous.

Watson for me. And pretty easily. Good to see Rachele getting into some form though.

Watson will easily be the better play once both their careers are done and dusted.

Rachele has been excellent in 2025. Happy for him as he seemed to be a bit of a whipping boy for the Crows in the last couple of season. Think he coasted on talent and he's rightfully had the penny drop.

Never really was a whipping boy on this site, at least. Moreso in the media

Always has shown he has talent, but he’s taken his game to the next level this year, impacting games in a more prominent manner (more touches, more goals, more score involvements etc)
