In the 2nd quarter I notice Smith is really enjoying elbowing and being elbowed by Zorko. The laughs continue in the Pie forward 50. As Derm points out, there are no traps set by the Lions in their defensive 50 to prevent clear Collingwood runs at goal, not even any Scooby Doo trap-doors. With 11:00 left in the quarter Zorko kicks the Lions first, then second goal but the Pies are neck deep in score, 10 deep. Varcoe comes late to the goal party which is by now a late Roman Imperial orgy.

Smith certainly does look happy to be out there. That's a good thing. Also doesn't drop his bundle when he makes a mistake. That's another good thing.

Smith: "Sorry mate, I'm going to aggressively bump you now 'cause I need to impress my coach - he told us to harden up this week"

Zorko: "You need to impress your coach?? We just copped an ear bashing from our coach for playing like we're on Valium - I gunna have to bump you twice as hard!"

Smith: "Yeah mate, but your team are shit. At Collingwood we've got expectations ... Here's another bump coming your way!"

Zorko: "Expectations?? Gee mate, the main game in this town is NRL. We've got to put on a physical show just to get bums on seats. I'm gunna bump you really hard this time ..."
