A giant issue with pick 14 is Demons are the ones not rating the guy. A 2 year deal for a 21 year old is nuts. I wouldnt be signing that either. Minimum id want is 4 years if im McVee

Saying an unknown player is rated too low at pick 18 is bonkers. Want me to name all the top 10 or even top 5 duds that all afl recruiters have got wrong in recent years. they're everywhere.

Yeah the two year deal being offered is odd. Rebuilding a list you'd want to keep your young talent around that you rate highly. Two years suggests they dont rate him highly at all tbh

I remember thinking a couple years ago that this guy was an even better Darcy Wilmot. On one hand Wilmot has gone from strength to strength while McVee has dropped away a fair bit.
Has the tools to be a very good player imo, hard to put a finger on what his value would be to Melbourne or a club trading for him. Closing speed is fantastic.
