Judd gets tagged every week and is a great leader. Deledio doesn't get tagged and shows little leadership. All Australian selectors would take this into account when selecting the team.

Judd was unbelievable in 05/06. Amazing. Cousins was ****ing incredible too, but Judd was the best. I suspect the main reason so many WC fans say Cousins was better now is because of the contrasting ways in which the two left the club.

As annoying as it is, Carlton got the better player.
But payed a big cost, and may not get him at his best again.

On recent form Ablett > Judd but I also think at their peaks Ablett is also the better player. It can really be seen either way though. Ablett should already have 2 brownlow medals already if the umpires weren't so stupid.

When judd was fully fit he was the best player in the comp, deledio did have a better season this year then judd, but he will never be as classy as him.
Though there is one player at richmond who will be better then Judd and thats cotchin.

There's no way Judd was better than Ablett over the last 2 seasons. Abletts career is almost on level terms with Judd now. He developed a bit later than Judd but he has almost caught Judd now. Ablett is a freak of a player and he's pretty much impossible to tackle

Actually it was a matter of debate at the time, and far from a 'clear cut' decision.

I think most would agree though that Judd for 5/6 years > Cousins for 1/2, although considering the price both clubs paid to get them, I think we got the better deal.
