Jumper clash fails

If we have a Hawthorn vs Brisbane Grand Final this year, perhaps the Hawks could wear their gold with brown HFC monogram worn on Friday night with brown shorts, and the Lions wearing the gold and maroon Brisbane Bears jumpers with the triangular BB insignia and maroon shorts?

Conversely, if the Grand Final proves to be Geelong vs. Collingwood, we could have the Cats in their standard navy blue and white hooped jumper and navy shorts, while the Magpies wear a white jumper with black stripes and black shorts?

If it's a Lions v Hawks GF then we'll be wearing our full home kit, Hawthorn would likely wear their home jumper with white shorts.

Geelong in white shorts, Collingwood in black is the only match up.

No white shorts tonight, but there's always next week to make amends right?
What chance we get hawks in the white shorts away to the mainly white cats and the lions in white shorts away to the mainly white fronted pies?
Geelong wore white shorts as the home team on Easter monday. But very often Geelong choose to wear blue shorts in finals for matches they usually wear white shorts for.

Yeah I'd say that's the more likely of the two matches we'll see a desirable outcome in.

I think there's little chance we see all the white kept to the Pies on Saturday. Red Fitzroy top with white shorts is the most likely strip for the Lions, which is by no means a howler in my opinion, but enough to get this thread buzzing again.

It's interesting...The above example is not considered a clash in the NFL or the big soccer leagues, but it would be in the NBA.

I personally didn't see an issue with last night's game. GWS v Hawthorn last week however was unwatchable.

Tonight is a shocker.

You couldn't make the sh!t up. How in the f#ck anyone could look at those kits next to each other and not see an issue is beyond me. And even worse it's a semi final. This current admin could not get any worse.

Very often is a stretch, I think they did it that one time as a kind of protest at not being allowed to play at Kardinia Park.

Their biggest game so they wanted to wear their most distinctive guernsey.

I don't blame the Suns for trying it on, but the AFL are ****ing clueless. If I were either of the broadcasters I'd be making it clear you're providing a clear difference between the teams from now on.

The pink was fine.

Logic for Friday, so probably won’t happen:

I assume Brisbane wear their Fitzroy colours on Saturday, as they did in last year’s prelim?

For the love of god, why can’t they have blue and red short options with this kit? Both would be better than white when playing Collingwood.

I've always been of the belief that if white shorts have to be worn to emphasise contrast, then the team with more white in their playing uniform should wear white shorts, irrespective of whether they're playing home or away.

Ideally, this Saturday at the MCG, I'd like to see Collingwood wear their normal jumper with white shorts and Brisbane wear their red Victorian / away jumper with royal blue shorts. Why Brisbane wear white shorts against the likes of Geelong and Collingwood (both with significant amounts of white in their home jumpers) is beyond me.

Agree. Apparently Brisbane don’t have royal blue shorts. They should get them as an option.

Cats v Hawks should probably be both home kits with cats in white shorts but its hard to see how any combo really clashes.

Pies v Lions should be pies home with black shorts, Lions in the Fitzroy red with white shorts.

The granny is probably gonna be a shit show. Hawks v Lions is bad, Cats v Pies is worse.

Hawks Lions wil be terrible but there is nothing wrong with cats and pies provided Collingwood are in full black and geelong in white.

Every chance pies are the away team and get out in white or cats in navy blue.

Even if not it’s still a pretty rough viewing spectacle tbh.
