No, I think you've gone on quite long enough...!!! :D Lions supporters usually find that followers of Melbourne-based clubs seldom watch Brisbane play. No one ever wins these kinds of arguments - reminds me of the old "My Dad's better than your Dad" sprays in Grade 2. Everyone's a little biased.

Anyway, what about Shermo, hey? ;)

If we take on his ridiculously high wage it should really only be a third rounder. A second rounder and 400k a year to pay is the shittest deal and I would be pissed if we did that.

Ability to be injured and miss games.

As I mentioned before you obviously never watch any of the Lions matches. Taking those two I am happy to stack Rich and Rockliff up against them now and in the coming season.

I like Martin but always thought Cotchin was very overrated. Time will tell.

I enjoy both Rich and Rockliff, but Rockliff in particular has nowhere near the impact that Cotchin or Martin has on a game.
Rockliff has shown that he is an accumulator without overly damaging the opposition, hence teams letting him run free and rack up the touches.
But agreed, time will tell.

I don't think the salary is a problem. Sherman is apparently dead keen on the move and I imagine he would be very willing to renegotiate his contract with his new club.
 
The amount of ignorance shown in this thread about our list is quite staggering, but still not unexpected.

I agree, and I get the feeling that the tigers will offer him a re-packaged 3 year deal which will keep him happy and save a club paying him 400k

Lets be honest.

All with their best well and truly behind them and basically playing to top up their super funds.;)

Not to mention the massive legal battle about to start between Fev and the club.

And to top it off 3 of the better players are leaving have left, two of them top line mids.

Not really. Rischa won your B&F for goodness sakes. And Brennan all of a sudden is a spud now he has walked out. Brisbane have the worst list in the AFL, just behind Essendon.

Risha did win our B&F but most of our better players were out injured. Like Mcphee won Essendons' B&F in 04? but there was about 10 other players who were better than him. I never really rated Brennan and i never called him a spud. He's one of the most inconsistent midfielders in the league but we should get a decent pick for him.

Our list can easily get us into the top 8 if injuries go our way. We're no different to Adelaides' list.

We both have good kids coming through and we'll have good draft picks this season to get even more quality kids. The small difference is we have more potatoes than you do. Expect them to be gone at the end of next season unless they turn their careers around.

I must say, the Crows have young guns in Sloane, Tippett, Vince, Douglas, Walker, Otten, Davis, & armstrong...I can only think of a few young lions players worth a mention

Rich, Redden, Rockliff, Banfield, Clark, Leuenberger, Cornelius, Bartlett, Harwood, Hanley, Polkinghorne... plus a likely swag of early draft picks this year.
