There are three other cellar dweller teams who'd have him in their starting midfield and they could easily fit him into their salary cap.

Even if he can't expect to play finals for Essendon, WC and Richmond, he could certainly expect serious midfield time.

Richmond maybe but already have the mature mids and I reckon will look at bloody some more young players through there.

Eagles he would be starting mid next Yeo* and Harley. Would he move to WA? Played well against us there last year and in the All Star game.

GWS I reckon he would be a good fit with Green and Finn but they aint paying him that wage and I doubt North pay some of it without a good pick.

I think he's more of a right place at the right time guy. No senior players worth paying top dollar, he's their captain - up for the big contract and playing through midfield etc. I can't believe he thinks he'll walk into midfield across any of the teams - finals or developing. He'll most probably get shunted into bit part roles regardless of where he lands.

Maybe his whole shtick is work smarter, not harder. He gets an extra month off compared to nincompoops like Pendlebury and Blicavs who have to slog through finals every year on less coin.

Yeah, its just like, surely after going through what North has for the last 6 years you want to get away from being pumped, I honestly thought the "wants midfield time" was some smokescreen for just getting out of North.

Might genuinely be the most important thing to him though which I just find bizarre haha.
