Yep Kane was going great guns in 2016 until that Port sniping scumbag Ebert put his knee into Kane's ribs and caused that terrible injury.

Took a while but I'm happy Kane is getting back to previous best and I hope someone can return the favour (with some extra topping) to Eggbert come Rd 15.

You've got a good memory Al. He was going great guns until then. He looks like he's back and will be a good player for us. For some reason he reminds me of Jake King. Not exactly like for like but tenacious and you know he just lives for it.

Even teams like Brisbane and Carlton wouldn't play him because they are young developing teams and bringing in a player like Lambert is counter productive.

He is playing well at the moment and I'm happy he is still in the side. He just won't offer much/anything else on top of what he is currently giving.

His a gun mate he will end up averaging low20s for touches and nearly a goal a game by the time his career is up.

Every team needs average players that perform niche tasks really well. Look through every premiership team there is always 1 sometimes 2 or 3. (Mitch Morton, Amon Buchanan spring to mind) he may not get a game with every side but he gets a run with our side because he performs the role assigned to him really well and it makes our team stronger.

He wouldn't get a run at Essendon, they have some good midfielders at VFL level that aren't getting a run. Stanton, Gleeson just to name a couple.
Hawthorn are rebuilding, he would be one of the last players they would allow into their best 22.
West Coast have a midfield of Priddis, Mitchell, Shuey, Duggan, Sheed.
Don't see him cracking that either.

All I'm saying is, it's Richmond or broke for Lambert and he is playing some good footy to ensure he stays in the team.
That's all he can do.

This is essentially what I've been saying, but I don't think he makes our team stronger. He is simply a good fit at present.

We would accept this as your opinion and leave it at that but when you then turn around and tell us how talented Lemon is and how he deserves a chance due to kicking some goals at'VFL' Level then you are opent to be spanked mate, Your opinion on lemon is just hope that he does something and not based on anything he has done at AFL level. - Nothing

Lambert out performs him in all areas at afl level, Now before you go on about his marking or kicking, We are yet to see any of these at a consistant level at AFL , All we have seen in 4 years and 21 games is just 'Glimpses' and thats all they are just glimpses and nothing more.

Lambert has played 38 games compared to Lemon and Lambert out performs him in just about every facet of the game and even though lambert isnt a fwd he matches him for goal and assists.

How can you praise Lemon but Bag Lambert with out having a lend of us, Let me know when Lemon gets 20 touches 7 marks 5 tackles and kicks 4-5 goals a game at AFL level then we might take your opinion on Lambert seriously.

We all have varying opinions on Player X and Player Y and are entitled to air them within reason.
I don't agree with his assessment of Lambert's current worth, but I don't agree with his assessment of Lennon either.
That's what a forum like this is for.

• He's going well in my book. Last year he was not impressing that much. But this year he's getting quite a bit of the ball. Can tackle, can hit the scoreboard, and do the odd tagging job.
