Much respect to a guy who has earned his spot through pure work ethic as opposed to raw talent. Having players like Kane on our list is exactly what we need creating pressure for senior spots and hopefully driving up the performance of fringe players.

It was a very classy goal and only a minute or so after he ran down Mzungu with that massive tackle... and got an in-the-back free against him.

Having followed the VFL, I was hoping we would draft him.
Always thought he could be a player and was staggered he was left out of the team in round one.
Glad to see him piecing it all together.
Easily our third best midfielder this season.

I just think it is the state of the modern game,players are going to be a little more inconsistent than the days of one on one.

Lambert has been great for us.

I wasn't real hot on this bloke being best 22 earlier in the year, but he's been so consistent over the past 10 or so weeks. Taken his game to another level and is almost one of the first bloke's picked each week. Does everything right, he's a limited player but he gets the most out of himself, good on him for earning his spot and keeping it.

He was on the end of the handball chain a few times last night and his decision making and disposal was excellent. Hit targets inside 50 whereas someone like grigg would just bomb it high and long and give the defenders all the time they like. Doesn't seem to panic, important for finals.

If he plays the next few games and finals, he'll get to 50 this season.
His disposal rate is averaging just over 20 this season compared to around 15 the previous 2 seasons and his tackles per game has jumped from around 2 to just over 5 this season.
Much better this season than his previous two.
