Not what i've heard. Dimma apparently hasn't taken too kindly with his appalling kicking.

Lucas is a WA player. If he was going to be traded he'd go back home, not across the road to Richmond who have a tighter salary cap and less chance of success than Carlton.

You'd struggle to find one Carlton person who doesn't think Lucas will be a regular next season.

For what it's worth, this seems to be based around one or two posters with reasonable track records on another Richmond forum, claiming that Lucas to Richmond is "a lock," that he's angry at Carlton for playing him injured, and that Connors is "very much in Ratten's plans." Meanwhile others have Connors for Maric as "a lock," Lucas to Freo as "a lock."

So yeah. That's where it comes from. Completely unsubstantiated, but worth reading if you like that kind of thing.

That is utter tripe.

In the recruiting process that Richmond has that I won't digress, everything is well known. Dimma knew what he was getting. Also, whilst he has a weird style of kicking, he isn't that bad. Dimma tolerates worse kicks in our side that Grigg.

This is false and I suggest you either say where you got your information from, or just admit you were making things up to suit your argument.

Dimma was the one who was high on Grigg. Your argument is so bad.

If you grew up with watching Richmond in the 90's and 00's then you too would classify Houli's kicking as a thing of beauty.

Best kick we have had since Leon Cameron, although to be fair to Deledio he is up there too.

I just haven't seen a guy at full pace spear a 55 meter pass like Houli can do and does often.

Mate is a diehard Richmond supporter. Heard Dimma go ballistic at him at training. And i have never heard one kind word spoken about him. Take of it what you will. Why was he dropped a few times if he's one of your best players?

Regardless, this is off topic as previously stated. Reality is there is no reason why Lucas would want to go to Richmond.

More money? Nope, you have a tighter cap than Carlton. Easier to get a game? Nope, should be a regular for us next year. More chance of playing finals? Yeah no...

If he was linked to Freo or WCE i'd understand. But Richmond? What the...

As I said before Kane would only want to go to WCE or Geelong if he where to leave Carlton.

My info is he will resign again for Carlton even though he is a little homesick.
 
Isn't Foley meant to be out of favour at Punt Rd?

Lucas for Foley with maybe a swap of picks could work. Still wouldn't want to do it though...

Out of favour? He played every game this year and is our Vice Captain... far from out of favour

Read it on the Tigers board mate. Usually when i see someone's name appear multiple times in trade discussion threads i think there might be something behind it....you could call it a hunch.

Lucas and pick 22 you wouldn't do for Foley? :o

Because one is a proven quality player one is not. I'll leave it to you to work out which one is which.

Also, your first rounder is not that desirable in this draft especially given how far pushed back in the order it is given the GWS concessions.

How's that exactly?
Coniglio isn't a proven quality player yet, but you'd likely lose your load over him.
Lucas was largely rated a 6-8 in a solid draft year, but injuries have hurt him in the last year and a half.

So a first rounder and Lucas for your fourth rated mid in Foley?

Foley is our 4th best mid behind lids, martin and cotchin (lets just pretend lids is a mid). If he were at carlton he would be your 4th best too (Judd, Murphy, Gibbs)... probably on par with Simpson.

He has outstanding leadership qualities, represented Victoria, played against Ireland in the international rules... plus in this shallow draft your pick 22 doesnt have its usual value.

I have no doubt Lucas will be a solid player... but i wouldnt trade a proven player for him and an unknown.

Glad someone responded to that tripe. Tigers would give themselves whiplash in their haste to sign if that was offered for Foley!
