Who do you think is the better on-Baller, for me I think Kelly

It's such a subjective question. Both are great but different onballers. I love the way Bartel goes about his business, his willingness to die just to be able to get his hands on the pill and feed out to a team mate. I also love the silky smooth skills of Kelly and his ability to be where the ball is 'going' to be not just where the ball 'is'.

I thionk thats what makes me go for Kelly. He seems to have that little bit mpore time to do something with the ball. BArtel always seems to get in there and get out of there with no time to spare (which is not a bad thing)

Im please both are playing in our side as it can only be for the better.

Bartel is always able to get his hands on the ball, and get in and under, to feed the ball out to the running players. Bartel is able to read the play well, is tough and gutsy.
Kelly is a silky player, in and under, but also a classy receiver who can deliver the ball well, able to read the play well, and can kick the ball better over a longer distance, and seems to be more of a goalkicking midfeilder.
Both bring different qualities to the table, which are very important to the overall team structure. But on pure ability, I think Kelly just gets the nod.

The question reminds me of the Couch V Bairstow. To me it apples and oranges, two different styles of on ballers. Couch the player described as being good in heavy traffic but had better delivery than most gave him credit for, Baistow the strong outside player was also not shy and regularly placed himself in peril, copping it under the ball for the side

Kelly is the type of player who will be able to adjust to most situations with ease, could player as a sweeper or as leading option of the forwardline.
Bartel less versatile but brilliant and resilient in and under, one fears sooner or later he will pay for his bravery.
I feel both together could make each other better but that was not the question , in a draft now who would I pick?

I go for Bartel , only on the guess that he probably will have first use of the ball more often so that might give him the edge in effectiveness but really it would come down to need .Need inside , go Bartel, need outside go Kelly

two great players, and to be honest who really cares who is the better as we have them both. I like the bairstow/couch comparison mentioned earlier as that is exactly the way I see it - they're two fantastic players who will complement each other for many years to come.

kelly missing the last half of the year has made alot of people forget how good he really is, give me till the end of the year to answer this question.

Thats why ive put it up. People were saying how good bartel is and they forgot about Kelly (not Cat fans though)

I don't get whhy people are saying that Kelly is an outside runner, look at how he broke his leg, going for the hard ball. I went with Kelly purely because he has better pace, both are outstanding players and compliment each other.

Kelly just oozes class. He's the Rolls Royce of the Geelong midfield. Bartel is not quite as polished but he does get more of the contested possessions. I voted Kelly, but it was a close decision and I am very glad we have both players.

Thats hard but Bartel just because Kelly has been injured and Bartel had a good year last year
