I was ambivalent about Sticks as prez, but I'm warming to it. Being on the board for nine years is both a liability and a benefit. We've all heard the liabilities.Seems to be handling things well at the moment and he is really just a figurehead anyway. A talented board can do the work and let Sticks be the public face that people relate to. A president is but one vote on the board and at least this way, he wouldn't be anybody's yes man!!

However he's also proven that he can get along with any of the factions, and he's the one bloke that never gets backstabbed. He provides a unifying force when we most need one. Further, if anyone was going to bring back big money to the club, it would be on the back of his name. I can't imagine a big supporter holding out on Sticks like they're rumoured to have done to Smorgon.
He doesn't strike me as a brilliant administrator, or business leader, but that's where his fellow directors have to support him. Unifying our fractured supporter base is quite possibly beyond any current director other than Sticks.
