The level of hatred and vitrol from the rank and file Labor Party and the Unions is incredible.
I'm not generally a Labor Voter, but I feel Rann & Foley have done a decent job (ie, they haven't ****ed everything up), and the way Foley is being treated of late is absolutely disgusting.
Was lame seeing him cry, but he's right - isn't he allowed to have a life?

I don't always agree with Foley, but I give him full marks for not being a populist politician.
When you make decisions that you know will hurt you at the polls that is political balls.

To be honest, I wasn't meaning to imply that, but I can see how it came across that way. I was more meaning that Foley has been slammed in the media hard by these people, and they've turned the public against him.
Having said that, the first assault was purely due to Foley acting inappropriately towards a couple of girls, I'm not sure what the 'basis' for this one was, could be the same.

Transcript of what would have to be described as a tasteless and terrible interview by Matt Abraham and Dave Bevan in relation to this incident. No wonder ABC breakfast ratings are going down the toilet.

He does, but I'm not sure that's relevant to that pathetic effort from those two.
In that Foley's made voluminous personal attacks on members of the opposition in parliament and out of it which has nothing to do with their job performance.
Crying foul when the same is done to him seems a bit rich to me.
It's like when Michaelangelo Rucci complains about 5AA bias.

That transcript is heavily edited. I thought the line of questioning from Bevan and Abraham was fine. Yes the man is allowed to have a life and I feel sorry that hes been attacked a couple of times lately, but really his life has turned into a soap opera over the last 12 months. Him whinging about getting a hard time in an interview when he constantly dishes it out and acts like an arrogant knobend in general public may get the sympathy vote from Amanda Blair and Ali Carle but it doesnt sit well with me.

Indeed. Then if you consider the defamatory statements he's made under parliamentary privilege about innocent members of the public the hypocrisy gets to me.
Especially you have to think Foley knew exactly what he was getting into with an interview with Matt and Dave regarding the incident? What exactly did he think the tenor of the interview was going to be like? Violins?
As much as I hate the usual Adelaide media interviews which don't go hard enough or even demand an actual answer for their question, this interview was cringeworthy.
