I don't know about you guys, but it seems to me that Kevin Garnett has turned into a cheap shot artist and a gutless bully since moving to Boston.

Along with Ray Allen, he turned into a mercenary and moved to Boston to play for a winning/championship team, and he's pretty much turned into an arrogant bastard. Here's a few clips of what I'm talking about (sorry I don't know how to make em just show up, I have to use links).

There's a shitload more but they're mainly small little incidents that usually don't get their own video. Still though, they all add up to Garnett being just a plain ol' tosser. What makes it worse is that he's always picking on young guys (e.g. Jarryd Bayless, Marco Belinelli), and never challenges people that he knows would actually fight back.

Don't get me wrong, I used to like him. I liked his game and the way he brings energy and tenacity to the court, but he just acts like a w***er most of the time and I've lost all respect for him. He's right up there with Bruce Bowen's trademark "put your feet where your opponent is about to land so they roll their ankle" move.

Anyone with me on this?
 
He didnt really want to move... didnt he can the first attempt of the wolves to send him to boston?

And the bogut, thing, just looks like a reflex, not a haymaker your trying to make it out to be

Plus the second screen which didnt get called on Belinelli, Eh, solid but sloppy screen, so what?

I'm not exactly sure of the Garnett trade but my interpretation of it was that he was wanting a trade to a winning team for ages.

The Bogut one was enough to get him suspended, wasn't necessarily a reflex action. How many reflex actions involve trying to punch someone?? (and yes i know there wasn't much force behind it)

And na the second screen on Belinelli was pretty hard, he dipped his shoulder and you could tell he was only trying to exert some force into it (should've been an offensive foul, not a flagrant like the title suggests)

like i said in the opening post, i like/admire his tenacity and determination, it's the dirty side of his game that's getting to me. so that article was irrelevant. if anything it just made me think that KG's got mental problems

and the "now that he's winning everyone hates it" is off the mark, because he just changed team to start winning, it's not like he did anything special himself. him winning has changed his attitude, there's no doubt about it.

i dunno, maybe i'm just over-sensative to stuff like this cos i'm a fair player who believes in respect and modesty.

Yeh i'm with you on this one.

Seems like a top bloke off the court, obviously has mad game, but all of a sudden he isn't getting a beating every week and has decided it gives him the power to be a tosser.

He does only go after the weak, or others if not looking (anyone else seen him push duncans head when he wasn't looking?).

5-5 over the last 10, I hope they go down big, no offense to C's fans but he wan't humble at all and humility shows a lot about peoples character.

Take MJ for example, very good at trash talk and getting into heads, but went after his man, not matter who, not someone 6 inches smaller and 40 pounds lighter who's a rookie. He didn't go physical either.

But he always kept his honor and did it without that 'wannabe gangsta' style Garnett uses.

KG I was really happy you won a championship, really was, but i've noticed you've turned into a cheap shot clown.

Garnett got punked by a number of players over the years. He literally bolted from Antonio McDyess on more than one occasion.

He is a bully and a pussy, doesn't seem like a good bloke and definitely doesn't seem very intelligent. But he's still one of my favourite players just for the way he plays.

MJ got bashed around a lot by the Pistons, he hated Isiaih with a passion and even had him kept off the Dream Team, which is why the Bulls nabbed Oakley, to protect him.
 
KG has always been a bit of a punk - it's just always been chalked up to his intense personality and 'will to win', etc and excused because of just how good he is.

i have not been watching much nba at all but i watched the first youtube clip with the raptors and im not sure but maybe his trying to get into the heads of the younger 1s so it gets to their game because he knows it will work.

i have a lot of respect for kg but if u guys r right about him been a arse then i dont care about him at all anymore. i hate players that r up them selfs:thumbsd:.
 
also it will be interesting to see what happens with the celtics if they get marbury. marbury could stir the team up a fair bit i would think.

lol would be funny, Marbury left KG in Minny to be #1 elsewhere with a better title shot......good choice, they were also 'best buddies'.....Garnett must be a great friend.

I can understand the KG hate, but Ray Allen? What has he done wrong (apart from miss a lot of 3 pointers lately...)
