I cant believe lance justice can drive a horse like he did in such a big race he had only one thing on his mind and that was to beat stich the fav up he is one prick that bloke, and what about g douglas taking the wrong horse to the track.

Condoning those actions is not something I agree with. I watched IN THE GIG last night. Can't remember a great deal about it. But I think they need to get more serious.....

Another sad day for Harness Racing, which showed "team driving" is still used against favourites.

Surely Justice was paid off to put pressure on the favourite, who would have won if not for that ridiculous effort from Justice.

No wonder the interest in Harness Racing is at an all time low.

I cant remember how long ago but Emma told Justice to GF and there is bad blood between them like Douglas and Jack, it just seems like we have a very bad lot of stewards at the moment who lack a basic knowledge of the game with a couple of exceptions , on the Douglas fine how can you throw your helmet on the ground ,tell all to GF and only get 1000 dollars it does not set a deterent for anyone else who goes in there and as for scratching that horse well as i said they are a lot of fools running the show that horse could have been geared up and on the track with very little delay, never thought i would say it but bring back T Bailey.

www.harness.org.au only has last lap replays so you wont be able to see the full extent of Lance's disgraceful drive.
Yeah, he burnt me. Had some on Uhta. It seemed like once he knew he couldn't get the lead or the leaders back he basically gave up. But hey,why not f**k a few others up as well as my own horse. If I owned OU, he wouldn't have been going home with Lance. And lets not let Mark Peace off either. He should have handed up to OU anyway, and probably would have been in the finish. Poor judgement!

Just read the stewards report. Here's part of the cup.

Trainer/Driver Lance Justice was questioned regarding his tactics adopted upon Ohoka Utah NZ through the middle stages. Ohoka Utah NZ unsuccessfully challenged for the lead after the start before racing outside the leader Cincinnati Kid NZ for the first 1000 metres. Approaching the 2100 metres, Ohoka Utah NZ surrendered the position outside the leader to Brooklyn Bute NZ. Of concern to the Panel was the tactics adopted by Mr Justice from approximately the 1200 metres when improving Ohoka Utah NZ around the field and applying pressure to the then leader Bonavista Bay. Ohoka Utah NZ remained outside the leader until tiring from the 400 metres to be beaten 59.2 metres into ninth placing. Mr Justice explained Ohoka Utah NZ was a legitimate winning chance in today’s race and was driven accordingly. Ohoka Utah NZ is consistently driven in a forward position and performed at its best when driven in this manner. Mr Justice stated he improved around Brooklyn Bute NZ passing the 1200 metres and only briefly applied pressure to the leader before easing the pace. Mr Justice highlighted further pressure was applied passing the bell when the three wide division raced to his outside and he was obliged to race forward so as to not surrender his position. Mr Justice was most disappointed with the performance of Ohoka Utah NZ and sighted that the gelding was inclined to hit its knee and did not race tractably over the latter stages. Mr Justice stated the gelding had recently been re-shod to protect a quarter crack however this was not painful, an opinion shared by Dr Peter Ellis when completing a post race veterinary examination of Ohoka Utah NZ that failed to reveal any abnormalities. The performance of Ohoka Utah NZ was deemed unsatisfactory and the gelding was stood down until having completed one satisfactory trial. Mr Justice was advised that if he were to continue to drive Ohoka Utah NZ in such a fashion, he would leave himself open to query if the gelding failed to perform up to expectation.
Drivers Lance Justice (Ohoka Utah NZ) and Chris Alford (Bonavista Bay) were questioned regarding an alleged verbal altercation post race. Mr Justice and Mr Alford acknowledged a discussion took place however strongly denied there was any animosity or foul language involved. Both drivers were reminded of their responsibilities to conduct themselves in a most professional manner at all times.

Naughty Lance!
