That’s right, your Royal Highness, King Charles, is none too pleased with the mediocre Collolingwood vs Melbin traditional King’s Birthday clash. He has personally requested, by Royal Decree, that a real team (the mighty Carlton Blues) beat up on a team of peasants (Essington) on his birthday celebration’s eve.

Apparently his favourite player is none other than King Charles Curnow, and he would love nothing more than to see him kick a bag against Essington.

Finally, a matchup fitting of the royal occasion.

You know how back in the day they used to line people up in the town square and throw rotten tomatoes at them.

Instead of the big freeze we can bring our rotten vegetables to throw at them.

It will sell out every year. 10/10 marketing.

Have a look at these 2 minnow clubs trying to steal our thunder.

Mate I get other club supporters having a crack but you guys tried to vote your own club out of existence. Imagine having such little agency that you needed Hawthorn to decide your fate.

Even at our worst we still have a 30 year buffer on you guys before we even meet your level of crap half way...

Dees are forever minnows because they exist in spite of themselves.

I think Spike Milligan said it best when he referred to Old Chas as "that little grovelling bastard", and with that in mind we should introduce a Spike's Birthday game (April 16th) between the Blues and the Bombers, two of football's greatest comedy acts

Isn't your blockbuster the Good Friday game with Norf?
