Kingsley , Full Back

he is to slow and to lazy for a full back. If he was to be moved to full back expect for us to have the highest score against for the decade!!!! if we do pick him up then we will have him playen within the forward 50, nowhere else.

I believe that the club may be thinking of Kingsley as a potential longer term FB option, post Gas....Haven't watched him close enough to see whether he has the tools....Don't think he's slow, can take a grab and kicks like a defender ...on the surface , could be a goer:thumbsu:

Possibly the worst idea i've ever seen posted on Big Footy...

whats that, trialling him as a FB or being at punt Rd in the first place..

Where do you want me to start?

Recruiting a 28 year old who has always been a key forward for his entire career to the club is one thing. Then trying to turn him into a LONG TERM full back proposition? Ludicrous. I will gladly eat my own undies if this happens.

I think you'll find almost without exception that any of the leading defenders first arrived on the scene having played all their footy as a KF. Accept that KK is well into his footy career but the principal still applies....anyway, im only attempting to understand any reason that we would seriously look at him considering what we already have in the front half

instead of making reasons up as to why the club is looking at him how about you just say that they are doing the wrong thing

ive heard everthing under the sun as to what he can bring to the table and its quite laughable actually

between my ears young fella, i prefaced it by saying, "i believe"...can't be any straigter than that:rolleyes:

Oh yes you can, you could say "i think" which would indecate it came from you own head and not word of mouth, or some probability add in the paper.

how do you know i'm young?

The club, that they, notice how most of what you say is about you and a second party and most people say us or we, i might be looking into it a bit to much but i don't believe your a tiger fan, you defiiinatly lack the passion.

u never know what terry has install, but bojangles, im with u on this one, kent may be a surprise in that position. terry is a lateral thinker and ppl who bag you for having these thoughts are onv top dumb to think up different roles for different players and just continually think inside the square
i bet these are the same blokes who said paddy bowden was a joke when first recruited

He's too small to play as an out and out full back.

Gaspar 192cm, Thursfield 191cm, Kingsley 193cm. Full backs are normally in that 191-194cm range - any bigger and they begin to lack the pace to go with a guy on the lead.

The point is that it is hard to make a call without knowing what the match committee are planning.

inanimate carbon rod > Ray Hall

Why not :thumbsu:

Do you lie in bed musing over these conundrums ol` boy ?

:p ....I just cant think why we'd invite a third string 28yo KF down to train with us unless of course....., may be able to hold a defensive post, f#$@ knows unless we try it out...:)

Yep and just like ted richards( ess to syd) and stevensen ( melb to premiership eagles) sometimes a change can bring the best out of cusp players. Make no mistake KK is not slow he would be one of the fastest 6ft 3 players out there especially off the mark. The question has always been his confidence levels, chasing, overhead marking and kicking for goal. he did have over 100 shots on goal two years ago and has always mantained he is not a full foward but a flanker played out of position like tarrant.
Its a tough one for u tigers fans and I wouldnt be suprised if one of two things occurs
a) he goes to u and is a ****** and plays 5-7 games for the year and is de listed
b) realises this is his last chance and finishes in your top 5 b+ f

I cant call it. I have seen the best and worst of him. Dustin Fletcher for Ess says he hates platyin on him cause he is so quick off the mark. Fair wrap from a great defender but god KK is frustrating and lazy.

Good luck

Sorry, left out the word "heart" in my original post.

I pissed myself laughing when I saw the thread title.

I laughed more reading the thread.

But i do wish him well, he couldn't have played over 100 games with no talent, thats for sure.
