Given Stevens was only drafted 3 years ago it is somewhat relevant how highly he was rated as a junior. It's the same deal with Caddy, do you think if Caddy was a pick #40+, do you think he'd still be worth a first rounder based on his exposed AFL form? Absolutely not. Caddy, for the most part, is valued because of his strong junior career and draft position.

This couldn't agree more re Caddy. Has shown next to nothing thus far in an ordinary side. Not saying he won't live up to potential but haven't seen much yet.

Isn't it 44 that we have now?

We'll offer 44 most likely, and since he's said he'd like to come to us, WC would probably accept. They'll know we wont offer 22, and since we have nothing else, realise 44 is the best they'll do. We've built up a good rapport with WC, so I don't think they'd try and make us overpay.

Can trades happen on weekends? Or will we have to wait until Monday?

If the rumours are correct and Cripps has moved back to WA and West Coast has done a deal with St Kilda, surely it will be a 3-way trade with the Dogs.

Actually that was in 2007 and we traded picks 30 and 35 (from Richmond for M.Morton) to the Dogs for pick 22 that landed us S.Selwood.

In 2006 Westcoast traded McDougall & pick 34 to the Bulldogs for pick 29. Which we used on Eric Mackenzie.
