At first when you read we don’t want to pick club legends make them go through process etc it kinda makes sense until you realise they will be picking someone to fill that non-member elected seat anyway.

So don’t pick people make them go through members, except for the people you will pick who don’t have to go through the members?

What’s the difference between them and tredders?


It’s such an arbitrary line to draw that makes zero sense?

For non-member elected positions just choose the best candidate, if you haven’t even chosen one yet why have you ruled one out?

Not many candidates could mobilise the support Tredders would automatically attain from the members just by virtue of his name.

It'd actually be interesting to see who Koch puts up against him because no doubt he'd try put up another club legend in an attempt to block Tredders. Getting Wanganeen to stand again could be an option. Even Shaun Burgoyne would potentially appeal to the masses.

Whatever your take on Tredrea's "anti vax" stance, as somebody said before, he at least takes a stance and has the will and conviction to follow it through, even at great personal cost. Who on our board is even close to that kind of conviction?

Koch is talking about "transparency" and yet at the same time this is the first we have heard of Darren Cahill resigning despite it happening 6 months ago - not via an official Club statement but THROUGH THE MEDIA!!

Whilst we're on the topic of transparency, how about David you give us the findings of the Club's end of season review, you know, the one where you said the Club would go over everything with a fine tooth comb and make changes where necessary - albeit endorsing the senior coach and guaranteeing his position as safe prior to the review occurring.

They don't want him in there because they don't want anything shaking things up before they give Ken the chance to prove them right for not sacking him. Zero doubt that's their view. Everything right now tells me if Ken has a positive win percentage after 6 rounds or so, they'll sign him up and feed everyone a bunch of bullshit about ignoring the white noise and repaying the faith etc. Treadrea has been outspoken and they don't want to risk Kenny getting spooked by appointing somebody who's been so outspoken about him. I've worked in bureaucratic organizations before and they will spin a bunch of bull to try and make them seem right before they do anything to actually improve.

This happening is actually great if Tredders pushes it further. If Koch let Tredders on the board and then just ignored his input as he did with Cahill, he'd effectively be silenced by the need to keep the board looking cohesive. This might cause the sort of public spat we need to get some change.

A lot of attention needs to be paid to how our board runs and how it doesn't run for the members. Tredders has a golden opportunity here to strike a blow for us and to put a few cannonballs through Koch's bullshit castle.

The difference is we know Tredders will tell it like he sees it. If he's being ignored or sees obvious problems are being ignored he's not going to sit there and take it.

This would also be a part of it. Koch is a public media figure and the large parts of the media are so fragile when it comes to any contradictory opinion that he's probably worried about how it affects him.

How can we get rid of an outspoken member-elected board member?

Approach a club legend in Wanganeen and convince him to run against that outspoken member. Wanganeen in a landslide just because of his name.

The article states Warren first approached the Club about getting onto the Board as far back as grand final week of last year. Koch only states now that they haven't picked him because they don't want to pick club legends over club legends. Yet Koch has no problem stringing Warren along the last 5 months or so.

This doesn't add up. He's our Club's only AFL premiership captain, has a great footy brain and would have immediately replaced an elite sporting director (Cahill) with another elite sportsmen. It also would have placated thousands of fans who like myself were pissed off with Koch after his last media tirade endorsing Hinkley before a review of the season had even taken place.

Koch has to go asap. At the very least he needs a better answer to why Tredrea isn't on the Board when the members ream him about it at the AGM tomorrow night.

Koch is just worried he's not a yes man.

Call him out Tredders.

Save our club.

Bring back the real Port Adelaide.

He's not, but I reckon Tredrea's faith in "doing his own research" betrays the same character defect that we've come to enjoy so much in Koch.

Tredders research involves growing up around the club in one of our greatest eras, being coached by Jack and Mark and winning flags for Port Adelaide when we had a winning culture.

I'll take that over any shitty poll done by the idiots in charge.
