As said in the other thread, Sastre has left CSC (is this right?), so the schleks will be up there along with Lance, Cadel, Contador, Valverde and Basso is back too...

Cadel never stands a chance when his team doesnt give him any help up the mountains and he is surrounded by team CSC.
It makes it so much more interesting because it puts fear in all of the cyclists who thinks they are a chance to win. I think Lance will make his own team or go to Astana.
This coming tour is going to be awesome and I dont think Lance would bother coming down for the tour down under. As much as I want him to. He wil train in the pyrenees for those months.

I hope he signs with a team that isn't stacked with the big names.
Lotto can't afford him and I hope he doesn't join Astana or CSC.
Columbia will probably be in the mix seeing as it's American owned now, but with Cavendish comming through it will be interesting to see if they go the Lotto path and try and run a split team for the green and yellow jersey.
He'd still have Hincapie and Kirchen to work with I guess at Columbia.

Yeah I know. But would cost them a bit to have him appear. To have him speak costs around $200k.

I think we all know that the chances of Lance racing in the Tour Down Under are very slim but as has been said the tour organises would not be doing their job if the didn't extend and invitation his way.

it's been interesting to see other riders reactions on the topic: most have said it will be waste of time him coming back.
He'll only race for Astana and Johan Bruyneel. They know each other, and know how to race. so he won't go anywhere other than Astana.
It's been interesting to note though how when he was racing and winning the TDF that there was essentially no drug related talk amongst anyone in the peloton (generally speaking of course) - but since his retirement there has been nothing but drug related topics, drugged up winners and controversy around everyone who wins a stage of the race.
Oh how times change.
