Don't mean to intrude on your board but I'm looking for some opinions/info from last year's prelim final when you knocked off the pies. I thought I'd get some more legible responses from you cats fans than I would in pie-land :D

So here's the question, two part question.

Did tickets go on sale to the general public after all members had taken up their first options prior to last year's Geelong vs Collingwood prelim final? If so, do you know roughly how many were available for general admission?

Secondly, this is for any AFL members, were there any guest passes made available for purchase prior to last year's Geelong vs Collingwood prelim final?

Thanks. As a Hawthorn member I can get one ticket to our prelim next week, but I'm looking to get a couple more tickets so any advice from last year would be appreciated.

All the best for your prelim too. My brother and dad are cats fans so I'd love an '89 rematch. Hope we both get there!

Thanks again.

i can only answer this one, but yes, as of all the weeks in the final (barring gf) the members tickets go on sale on monday and general public on the wednesday. Not many at all were available for ga, my sister and dad tried to get tickets on the wednesday (as they are not members) and rang up right on 10, (or whenever the lines opened up), got put on hold for a while and the only ones left when they got through were standing room and restricted view.

Thanks for that. Looks like I'll have to find some more members that cannot go then. Cheers magic :thumbsu:

Yeah thought so. I think that there aren't even any available for the Saints v Collingwood game. Oh well, another option bites the dust.

given that we will play either the Dogs or the Swans this year I don't think the problem will be as bad this year. Last year we played the Pies and they are a large crowd drawer as you all know. I think come wednesday prior to the PF there will be still plenty of tickets left for GA

Yeah your game will be fine. I'm worried about the Hawks v Saints/Pies though ;)

You could also hope that loophole still exists where you can buy them through the Family tickets option. There you don't have to give membership numbers but still able to select adult tickets. On the quiet of course though!

Hey :)

Will our game be on the friday night?

Yes. We are entitled to the extra days break for finishing on top. And also Aints/Pies should have a 7 day break and play on Saturday- that's another way of looking at it I guess.

Ah, I gotta get my prelim tickets via phone or internet on Monday. Better not be any problems getting through...
