Following on from what EvertonFC said, Spanish is also a language of Argentina, Mexico, Cuba, Bolivia, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Paraguay, El Salvador, Venezuela, Honduras, Nicuragua, Guatemala, Belize, Costa Rica and Equatorial Guinea.
Furthermore, the United States has no official language and although it is of course widely accepted that English is its main tongue, many official departments of the US (law enforcement, medical facilities) have multi-lingual staff to converse with the many US citizens and permanent residents who are only fluent in Spnish.
