Spanish? I would have thought out of all four that the other three would be more common?

Following on from what EvertonFC said, Spanish is also a language of Argentina, Mexico, Cuba, Bolivia, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Paraguay, El Salvador, Venezuela, Honduras, Nicuragua, Guatemala, Belize, Costa Rica and Equatorial Guinea.

Furthermore, the United States has no official language and although it is of course widely accepted that English is its main tongue, many official departments of the US (law enforcement, medical facilities) have multi-lingual staff to converse with the many US citizens and permanent residents who are only fluent in Spnish.

I don't know why some on this thread have said French and German are overly difficult languages to learn - there are many many words that are identical or similar to English in both.

Steer clear of Japanese. :D
German and French weren't all bad, i still remember the basics, so i would recommend them... (just make sure dyertribe isn't in your french class!)
japanese.. well i agree with dyertribe, i did it for three years and don't remember anything!

Some of the places I'd also really like to go to in front of most of Europe.

Anyone want to teach me Spanish?:D

Since I've been working in a bar, I've had to learn a new language to talk to the customers. I believe it's referred to as '****wit'.
