Just won his first B&F, leading goal kicker and still only 23. GWS would be throwing big $$$$$$ at him to move at the end of next season as well.

Even though the Eagles seem to be paying the full salary cap we do have a lot of younger guys who wouldn't be on big $$ yet plus two veterans to nominate in 2011 freeing up cap space.

Leca would be worth $500k pa for 3 years ........ maybe a tad more even.

GWS would be throwing $800k pa at him .

The vast majority of the list deserve a reduction in pay based on 2010 - to be hoped most contracts are structured with a base plus performance kicker.
Le Cras deserves all the $s he can get.

What about Andrew Swallow at Norths. Reported he just turned down big $$$$ at GWS to stay at the Roos.

Each player is different and is motivated by different things.

Getting an end of first round compo pick for Lecca would really p!ss everyone off.

Maybe a good break down of Kerr's 2007,2008,2009,2010 seasons is required and then evaluate whether 5 year contracts on huge money are a good thing?

Add another 12 months out to 2013, re-evaluated our cap pressure over this period and try and pay him more $$'s now before the Naitanui's, Shuey's, Sheppard's, Kennedy's etc go up in price.

Realistically Le Cras is probably the only guy who deserves a pay rise.

I've always been a fan of performance based contracts.

The likes of LeCras can make demands now, but guys on the way up should receive good retainers but I'd like to see a $mil or 2, go at the end of the year to those that earn it.
Player managers will resist but when you are on the bottom is the time to introduce bigger performance based payments.
