Gradel has played his last game for us I reckon. Will be sold today. Not fussed as I reckon Nunez can seriously play and he will take his spot. Would also be good to sign another good defender.

Lloyd Sam deserves an opportunity at least. He's been good from limited game time in his substitute appearances this season.

Max hasn't looked happy all season, and while it's a blow, we don't want upset players dragging down the rest of the squad. And it seems he requested a transfer, so rejecting it was only going to make things worse.

I read on twitter that Leeds have only played Peterborough twice in a league fixture :)

Following a dissapointing home draw against Coventry, i expect us to bounce back with a solid 2-3 goal win, hopefully Rossy Mac can score again, has been amazing this season :D

Peterborough have been going very nicely. Away from home against a strong side I'd just about take a point. Rachubka would be very keen to make amends for his howler against Coventry and will hopefully keep everything out.

Snodgrass needs some goals.

Well that was an amazing finish to a tense game :)

Hard to believe that with our up and down season, we're up to 3rd with game in hand.

MOT

Can someone tell me what the f*ck is going on?

I want to kick Rachubka in the face. Why the f*ck did we sell Schmeichel?

F*cking hell Leeds shit me some times.

Well I have officially given up hope on promotion this year, last season it happened a couple of weeks after Chrismas.

Gutted.

I understand Ken Bates does not want us to win promotion this season, otherwise he has to pay creditors millions after the administration fiasco a few yeas ago, he really is a revolting old troll thats holding this club back.

Realistically only got 3 - 4 players capable of playing in the top division at the moment

I'm no fan of Bates but that theory just doesn't make sense to me.

Following the clubs administration KPMG issued this letter to all creditors http://www.scribd.com/doc/44754152/KPMG-Letter-to-Creditors-Admin-2007

Page 4 shows the amount to be paid to creditors should LUFC make it into the premiership within 10 years of administration, £5 million.

The latest Premiership parachute payment deal means, even if a promoted club is relegated after 1 year they will earn £48 million over 4 years.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/may/10/football-league-agree-parachute-payments

The idea that Bates doesn't want LUFC promoted makes no sense to me, he only has to pay out £5 million but would recieve an absolute minimum of £48 million.

Truth is the club would earn substantially more than £48 million in the premiership once you throw in increased gate revenue, sponsorship etc, to compund matters IIRC the last set of accounts show money set aside should the club gain promotion (in effect I think the club would now only have to find around £3million rather than £5million should they gain promotion.

but who else can you blame?

It's clear to me that Bates has elected to pour cash into infrastructure projects & the playing squad has suffered as a result. I'm sure this has meant the club has had to compromise in terms of their targets over the summer.
You could argue that Bates policy of investment in bricks and mortar over playing staff is correct, however his track record at other clubs is somewhat chequered when it comes to this type of investment (Chelsea Village).

At the same time who ever is responsible for defencive coaching at Elland Road needs to take a long look at themselves. The number of goals we've shipped / lack of clean sheets is a real problem & for me this issue needs to be addressed.

I agree with you on this score, the Leeds United fanzine The Square Ball ran a piece on the darker side of Ken's business past. Quite an eye opener http://www.thesquareball.net/lwmyd/...oel-lloyd-and-the-fate-of-a-caribbean-island/
