Does anyone know more about Leon's hamstring injury? We can I'll afford to lose him for the Qualifying Final and beyond.

The club has done a great job in many facets this year, and definitely one is keeping any injury news under their hats.

Hopefully just a rest.

Got Heater, possibly Maxy also to squeeze back in next week, so it would be very bad if he missed, but not 100% disastrous.

PS sorry jmac i didn't edit your post just tried to reply to it - but clicked the wrong button :o

If it's a hammy he should be right to go by the prelim one would think, remember someone on the Freo board who was at last weeks came say he hobbled off, not ideal but we'll be right.

Radio's have been saying there's no problem.

It might actually be psych management to get Leon into his first final after coming off a good game so he goes in positive.

yeah very strong whisper that there is nothing wrong with him.

Don't want to give Geelong a close up view how to combat him?

Where's this strong whisper coming from?

Surely at best he's being rested due to a niggle that's not worth the risk. I couldn't see him being genuinely rested twice in three weeks. Especially since he was subbed off last week, in his first game back after a rest.

Having said that, I expect to see him run out in the QF.

i hope you are all right because Leons disposal is amazing and to lose him now would be disastrous to the game plan.
I know we have others that can cover but his ability to pick up those balls that bounce awkwardly at full pace is just out of this world.

Who would have thought 12 months ago that we'd be stressing about Leon not being able to take the field in a finals series...

Leon's record against Geelong in recent times was poor, I know things are pretty different with him down back though. Last year he missed the Geelong prelim (and by memory Maxy said in his book that his poor record against Geelong was a factor in that), but then returned straight after for the 1st GF. Could be just a psychological thing, bring him straight in fresh and firing against a team he has a great record against in WCE. Here's hoping the hammy isn't serious anyway!

Still a worry with maxy, heather and maxy all avail next week.
I can't see where the room is for all of them in the side.
Can't drop ben Johnson.

I think this is spot on with a minor injury (hence why subbed), they will hard tag him so they are not keen on teams getting more practice at it.

Confident they are all over it

It would be a tragic if Leon missed out on a finals series due to a hammy.

Considering we have always put a cross thru Leon's name as soon as September hits (no matter how good his H&A form is) it makes me smile that he would now be considered a huge loss. I would not be comfortable at all to lose him on the back of Shaw and Maxwell's lack of fitness.
