So close! Water polo now, Australia vs Italy.

Disappointed with the rowing result. Its almost as if the Aussies didnt expect Germany to be that far in front. In other words we got outplayed tactically by a team doing a hail mary and we didnt adapt our speed in the front half. Its annoying how often this happens to us.

All the team events the Australian women are out doing our men, I wonder why that is? The guys seem to have this yeah I got this attitude.... and they actually dont.

Funny you should say that. I noticed quite a few times in the swimming, the Aussie commentators mentioning that an Aussie swimmer is "traditionally slow of the block, but they finish strongly" and I'm sitting there thinking "well if this is so common in our swimming team, what the hell are the coaches doing?" Lol.

I always think swimming is like a steam train. Takes time, distance and rhythm to build up speed. Tend to think rowing would be similar.

Not sure how true that is, just the way I have often seen it.

Yep he races to the end of his sentence then almost sighs when he's done.

Obviously a past rower but surely they make them audition.

I'm not saying I'm the sole reason for the turnaround or anything, but I think I deserve at least an MVP award...
