That's rubbish.

I guess the Chief de Mission is responsible for their safety? He broke curfew AND went somewhere alone. Lucky drunk and robbed is all he got.

There are two swimmers.

Emma McKeown was out with friends and got separated. Rather than travelling alone back to the village (which is against protocol), she stayed with some other swimmers from another team. Got home safe but didn't text the management to say where she was. No suggestion she was unsafe or overly drunk. She's been harshly dealt with I think.

Josh Palmer, on the other hand, got hammered, wandered off alone, was robbed, and was found in a dazed state by an Aussie businessman. He has no idea where he was from 10pm to 2am. He's the lucky one.

The Aussie men's decathlon participant almost speared some cameramen 10 feet away with one of the worst javelin attempts I've ever seen.

Mate, unlike Kitty, I couldn't give a flying f%^k if the swimmers went on a 3 day sleepless bender on copacobana in their underpants. Its the biggest joke. No one from the press nor even the general public would even know that they came back late. Its stupid draconian rules like this moron Kitty has implemented (personally I would tell her to go fu&k herself) that suck the fun out of the olympics for the athletes.

If you want swimmer hate then the dumbarse that is Ryan Lochte is the one to hate upon for straight up lying about being robbed when really it was he and his drunk arse teammates that broke a door and soap dispenser in a petrol station bathroom, pissed all over the floor and walls and refused to pay for damage when found out. Got belligerent back at the security guard who eventually got them to pay for the damage (a total of US $51). This translated in Ryan's mind to we got held up and robbed by a policeman who put his gun to my head and stole my wallet with $400 in it.

Of the 2 which one would Kitty be in trouble for if they were in the morgue? Its a difficult job , and sometimes it can be an officious one, but everyone would be screaming at her as to why she wasn't enforcing curfews if it was a fatal result

Is such a natural athlete and seems a good guy. I love the show he puts on. Which is part of those sprinting events. Plus he walks the walk.

Roo was reading a stat today, Bolt holds 9 of the fastest 30 times in history including the top 3. The remaining 21 times have all been drug assisted.

Not saying he's dirty too but that stat is pretty unbelievable.

He is unique among sprinters with his height and long arms and legs.

He almost looks ungainly for the first 10m then his long strides take over for the rest.

Roo isn't quite correct with that statement though. Some have been drug assisted for sure, but a great deal haven't been, or at least haven't been proven as such.

It would be a devastating blow for Track and Field, unlike Armstrong Bolt is widely liked and respected by his competitors. It would destroy Jamaica though.

My only concern and one which makes me lean towards an unloved result is the squad he has surrounded himself with has many who have tested positive.

It is cheating. Breaking the rules to compete.

That is the disheartening thing about it.

I am not anti doping as such, but anti cheating.


I personally think there will come a time where there will be a rival sporting event that will allow doping. As there is in Bodybuilding. I would bet that if it were to happen it would over take the Olympics and other clean events in terms of popularity.
