Fair dinkum if I ever hear of someone questioning the toughness of this fella again they need a damn good flogging. For not the first time I've seen this prodigious talent be felled with a what looks to be a crippling blow, only to bite the bullet and return to the field of battle. Lids has taken the step to be a genuine star of the game...reality is he should be first defender picked in AA, with only Newy possibly nudging him...Is there anything he can't do on a football field, a bloody star, now leading us to the Holy Grail:thumbsu:

Yep cant argue with any of that. Amazing what a difference it makes when a coach says, you do whatever you think needs to be done because you are a ****ing star and i know it will be the right move. Leave the mechanisms and shit to the others, you just get your hands on it and find the 40-50 meter target or bust the play open with your speed. ;)

lol you flogs know nothing

he has an inaccurate kick, he's weak and he only cares about his hair, doesn't live up to potential, will go to gold coast etc.

LOL... Never one to be controversial!!!
You will sucker the uninitiated with these sort of comments!!!

Love your work
In relation to bo and coggas words I could not agree more.
I'm not sure about anyone else but at know time since he was drafted would I consider swapping Lids for anyone.
He is the most underated player in the game due to our onfiled performance, as we improve so will his stocks increase.
I have said for a long time that by the time he is 24 he will be in the top 5 players in the game and I stick by this prediction.

are you trying to be funny or is that your earnest opinion, tell me did you get to the "G" for the first time today:confused:

Wouldn't be surprised if he misses next week with that. I bet it will hurt tomorrow:eek:.

but then again.................. even Richo had him missing the rest of the game and he sounded shocked 10 mins later to see Lids sitting on the bench ready to go. Next came the cheer and I knew he had just run back on. One tough little son of a bitch:thumbsu:

He inspired me to stop moaning about my minor ailments. Way to go Lids:)

Probably one of the big things is a few of us here have questioned his leadership potentual, but things like today speak volumes.

Gibbs, Enright, Deledio, Shaw; surely Lids is in front of two of those to be half-back AA?

Two years ago against Saints, smashed in the head (Andy Collins style from today), came back on to dominate.

Last year against Dogs, sandwiched by two big blokes in a marking contest, limped off with a shoulder injury. Came back on to play a serviceable game.

Just two other examples, on top of today's effort, dispelling any myths that he is soft or merely an outside player.

Also, has never shirked a physical contest with Milne ;)

hodge and goddard are slightly ahead in AA selection, but he has easily been our best player alongside jack.

has more talent then anyone in the afl, the most well rounded player ive ever seen.

If I could have a team of 1 player cloned 22 times. It would be this guy. He has it all, great defensive and rebound abilities, amazing midfielder and fast, great contested mark and kick at goal.

Goddard could be picked in pretty much any spot. Lids form over the past few years would have to have him in contention.
