This Mitch Hallahan looks alright. Just reading up on all the mock drafts and catching up on some footage on Hallahan as thier was a write up on him in The Age. Has leadership and tenacity written all over him. Question for the board- Will he be there come pick 32,does anyone know whther he is on our radar? Thoughts?

Very much an inside mid. With Harwood already on our list I'd prefer a more combo mid.

We should get Cameron Bruce, he will add some experience to our side. He will probably go top 30 somewhere so we gotta make sure we snatch him up quick smart.

Indeed.

30/31 years old. :( Waste - I thought we had would have learn't. Can't see Dr. Kerr going down this path.

Pick 5.Greg Inglis if can talk him into it in time not sure if there is a deadline and his got that pace we need.Worth more then Heppell and his body is made and ready to go.

Yeah, if by experience you mean being able to tell the rest of the team about life during the war.

A 31 year old midfielder is going to go top 30? Yeah nah.

Now where were we? Oh yeah...the important thing was I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

What a great day, first I find something called the "ignore list" and then a reminder of an absolute classic piece of television.
Thankyou to the both of you.

Irel's up soon with our 5th Pick in the 2010 Big Footy Official Phantom Draft.

So far we have taken:
Gaff Mid
Green Mid/Sm Fwd
Horlin-Smith Mid (?)
Jenkins Ruck/Fwd

Just in case you wanted any suggestions Irel, mine would be:

Kyle Hartigan - Tall Defender

Thanx guys.

All suggestions will be given consideration.
Hartigan- a possibility however I am not entirely sold on him. Can you tell me why you think he should go in the ND and not in the rookie draft Crusha?

Nathan Reid, Tom Bell, Matt Clarke will probably be considered as our QLD priorities. I doubt all three will be drafted. Maybe the GC will look at them as well.

Im thinking a Qld'er :D

Nathan Reid, Tom Bell, Matt Clarke??

I considered Bell, but have him pencilled in as a Qld Priority Rookie selection.
(Dangerous, GC have first crack)

Others I considered for the 5th Pick were:
Kulikowski Mid
Eades Sm Fwd
Scott Hancock Def...poss Mid
Rowan Brookes Mid/HFF
Tom Gordon KPF-D/Ruck
Matthew Crocker Mid

(all pencilled in as possible Rookie selections)

I had him down early on as a possible Rookie selection, but after missing Tape (who is one of my favourites in this draft) in our other picks, I didn't want to risk him being taken late by someone else - especially Sydney and Hawthorn, who have several picks to go)
Really liked the look of him last year - had him as a selection in both ND and Rookie drafts. Have not seen any vision of him this year, but have read several good reports on his progress at Werribee this season and think the game time at VFL level can only have been to his benefit.
From memory he tested well for endurance at the 2009 Draft Camp (good beep test result I think), something that may become a very desired asset in the new era of 'limited" interchanges (read: Substitute)

Heard a while ago that "we" were considering a Morningside defender as a Mature Aged Rookie selection.
Thought nothing of it at the time (did not come from a source with runs on the board), but later heard something similar on one of the AFLQ Match of the round replays.

The only player I can see that possibly being is Aaron Rogers.

He is a former 2nd Rnd pick at Melbourne (2001 ND), later picked up by Sydney as a rookie (2004 - 2 AFL games) - was 2009 B&F winner at Eastlake in AFL ACT, and 2008 & 2009 Fullback of the Year in that League. This season he was third in Morningside's B&F as well being voted "Best in Finals" (in a Premiership season), Fullback in the AFLQ Team of the Year and was Fullback in the State side.

But by my reckoning he must be at least 27 y.o.
Has anyone else heard anything similar (ie Mature Aged Defender from AFLQ) ???????

ps Hey Belgian.....could this mean AUSTIN LUCY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
