I agree with jackess- McKeever's pace and agility were great to see for a bloke as big as him, as well as his courage to go for a run. The only query on him is his disposal- it was pretty poor for the whole game- regular watchers could tell me- is he normally ok, or is this something he's still working on?
His field kicking is usually *OK*; it's around the sticks where you have to shut your eyes and hope for the best.

This link doesn't take me to anything mentioning these guys.....what's the deal with them? Who is saying what?

cheers

Top of Page 2 - Mt Gravatt v Brisbane Lions Reserves.

Its a poorly formatted PDF but contains team lists for Round 13 of the NEAFL - B Staker and C Bartlett included on the interchange for Sunday's game.

Nah pretty sure neither playing Sunday. I spoke to both at the Melbourne function (Carlton game) and they weren't a chance of an earlier return than round 15. Bartlett had a moon boot on last weekend as well. Apparently he's good again now and Staker positive of round 15. Reckon it's just names on the list. Woulda been good though. :)

Is X Clarke looking any good, or still pulling up sore and slowish?

Round 15 makes me happy for Stakes and Bartlett (Polec too). Would love to see all 3 get a run this year towards the end (especially Staker, we need him right now).

4.6 to 10.7 at HT. Much better quarter in general play for little reward on the scoreboard. Goals to Harvey and McCulloch. If Amon had the polish to match his endeavour he'd be a superstar.

And the opposite to whats been happening to our senior team recently Rip.

Really appreciate the updates throughout the season btw and look forward to further reports from all those dedicated ressie watchers. Particularly X's progress.

Buchanan, Barry & A Corn the best.
X got plenty of game time and won a fair bit of the ball.
Collier got beaten easily by his opponent.
Hawksley provided his usual run off half back.
Polec very wasteful with ball in hand. Disappointing.
N.Clarke in the best...?

Nathan Clarke a chance for the seniors next week? :P :o
Three goals. Probably only played 40 minutes. Still has plenty of clip, too, which was surprising considering the massive pants he had on. I would have thought they'd slow him down like that parachute that comes out of the back of the space shuttle!

Mr Ripper, how did A.Corn, X.Clarke, J. Polec and A.Buchannon play?
Well held; liveliest game so far; struggled to find space and used it poorly; and outstanding, phenomenal with his clearance work.

Edit: FOUR goals to coach Clarke!

My observations- Polec got a lot of the ball and seems very committed- a game or two more like this and he'll get another chance. Buchanan likewise got plenty but as always proceeded to often run himself into trouble, both Macs did a little better in the ruck, Cornelius did ok while having to contend with very poor delivery, N Clark seems like a promising recruit but needs to be better kitted out, X Clarke ok but maybe still a bit to go, Barry lively, Hawksley ditto, Collier down on confidence.
