Hi Kurve I'm about to go to France. First time I've stepped on a plane in 7 years. Looking forward to seeing all my friends over there. I will toast you when I drink a cafe creme. A bientot.

WARNING :warning: very disturbing doco:

You can find three (3) episodes on 7Plus - Bravo Channel 75.

THE GILGO BEACH KILLER - House of Secrets (supportive interviews with his wife Asa + daughter Victoria, + the planning document found on Rex's computer etc)

Buckle up...

Today in the New York Times:

"A 66-year-old man from Florida has been charged with murder in the death of a woman whose body was found close to her 2-year-old child’s near the Gilgo Beach serial killer’s dumping grounds on Long Island, according to a law enforcement official with knowledge of the matter.

The man, Andrew Dykes, of Ruskin, Fla., was indicted this week by a grand jury in Nassau County on charges of murdering the woman, Tanya Denise Jackson, the official said. Ms. Jackson was known as Jane Doe No. 3, or “Peaches,” after a tattoo on her torso.

Mr. Dykes was the father of Ms. Jackson’s slain 2-year-old, Tatiana Marie Dykes, the official said.............."

They have solved the identity of the victims and charged the person responsible.
Which is good as it took long enough.
Also mentioned in the article is that RH is expected to stand trial next year.

So there's at least three killers dumping women's bodies in that area. Rifkin, this one and Heuermann.

It's frightening how many killers there are out there.

I recommend you read 'Murderland' Sub titled 'Crime and Bloodlust in the time of Serial Killers', by Caroline Fraser Kurve
It is interesting that there were 3 but I thought Rifkin was dumping not on the same stretch of beach but in the same park as RH?
It looks like a very lonely stretch of land, maybe for that 1km, they were not at all overlooked by anything and that's why it was chosen.

Profiling Rex Heuermann: The Long Island Serial Killer | with Mark Safarik

WARNING: SEXUAL SADISM

On this episode of Sinister, host Josh Zeman sits down with retired FBI profiler Mark Safarik for a rare, expert breakdown of Rex Heuermann, the alleged Long Island Serial Killer (LISK). Safarik served in the FBI’s elite Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) and has consulted on some of America’s most disturbing serial murder cases. His insight cuts through myth and speculation and gives a clear look at who Heuermann is, how he operated, and why this case remained unsolved for nearly two decades. This interview was originally recorded for the investigative podcast MONSTER: Hunting the Long Island Serial Killer, so today’s format is clinical, precise, and focused. You’ll hear Safarik walk through key behaviors, forensic countermeasures, dump-site logic, and the psychological factors that shape offenders like Heuermann.Inside the Episode:• The early “green Avalanche” clue and how investigators missed it • How Heuermann’s MO shifted from dismemberment to body wrapping • Why serial offenders are not masterminds, and how overconfidence exposes them • Planning documents, dry runs, and real-world trial and error • Links to Joel Rifkin and Edmund Kemper • Why early trauma, bullying, and fantasy matter in sexual sadism • Dump-site selection along Ocean Parkway and offender comfort zones • Whether Heuermann may have killed before Sandra Castillo • How four serial offenders operated on Long Island in the early 1990s • What ultimately allowed Heuermann to evade detection for years

IMO: fascinating -
so many similarities - computer "fantasty stories" with BRE (not admitted as evidence) on BRE's hard drives + - LISK - horrific Planning doc found on RH's computer.
This podcast points at very good case connections/insight/knowledge from ex FBI retired profiler/ Detective and the Investigative Journalist.
I think this would also apply to Bradley Robert Edwards - dumpsites far from homes and being able to see headlights from cars coming in both directions.... - and, somewhere BRE would/could have felt very comfortable.
IMO BRE was very comfortable travelling to and from all his work sites in the bush......- his families holiday home (was it Madora Bay ?), friends in Dawesville too, living both NOR and SOR !! etc

BRE's age - same as RH's etc. etc.
Stalking.... so many similarties plus broken systems that took too long to join the dots with previous crimes - Huntingdale to Karrakata to Claremont - eg.... Gosnells CIB not talking to Claremont CIB etc....
Australian murderer Bradley Robert Edwards is approximately 6 feet (1.83 meters) tall. He was often described by witnesses as being a tall man etc etc
Both married "helpless" women with children already.... patterns I think. Women that can be easily "walked over".
