Caleb Daniel got dropped. He would be a very good pressure forward. He would have to be keen to leave crazy bevo, and they wouldn't want to pay his salary to rot in the reserves.
He's kicked 21 goals total in the last five years.

Suggestions like this just highlight the dire state of our forward line.

Dire? Thats a little strong.

Dixon has a replacement in Lord. Marshall, MG and Finlayson all have a few years left with Scully to develop for the magpies. So tall forwards are pretty well covered.

Rioli and SPP are solid, so it’s really only the 6th forward that is a bit shakey. DBJ is more than serviceable, whilst Port drafted to cover this area last year. Plus the move to play a mid resting forward….

Yes, I don’t think McEntee is the best pick, that that hardly makes the forward line dire.

Neade did apply pressure, he was just about 5kg wet.
Neade also could crumb. He was just either stuck as the KPF or everyone crowded in so close it was not possible. In a functioning (I.e. not a bomb it to Dixon always) forward line with KPF's who led properly he'd have been a good contributor. Another Hinkley Square peg, round hole job.

Neade had one catastrophic issue. When he was applying pressure if he got to make a tackle on a player >70kgs 80% of the time he would would shake the tackle and if he didn't he rarely got the htb decision. It happened but not often.

Thr Phillipou talk keeps rumbling.

He would be the perfect mid-forward addition to our forward line and add some real class.

Someone who called themselves “Ron the Rumour” (or something like that), called up SEN yesterday and said that Phillipou is definitely out of the Saints next year.

But then some saints guy immediately called up and said his manager was having lunch with Silvagni on the weekend and a deal is imminent….

Sure to both….

This Ron guy also said that Brad Crouch’s knee is shot and he won’t play again….

Something about gains of salt….

Isnt he about to sign ?
There has been talk he is about to sign for some time, but he hasn't.

Then there is talk he might not, probably mostly based on the fact he hasn't.

Often this is just managers trying to get the $$ up but who knows.

On the cheap: who will pay the Ferry man?
QUOTE: A Giants Academy product hailing from the NSW Riverina, seeing the club up and about is music to Perryman’s ears. However, he’s also one of just a handful of players in GWS’ best 23 coming off contract at the end of the year.

Talks are progressing well between the two parties, with Perryman’s last couple of contracts only being two-year extensions. And he’s eager to put pen to paper to keep the good times rolling.

Where as McEnteee never shakes a tackle or hand balls under pressure.
