Sure, just couldn't believe how stupid he was trying to justify it. He has Robert Shaw on to be the 'expert' then he doesn't stop talking shit all the time.

Yeah that kills me also. Sun morning radio show is great for Shaws analysis. Fine is forever interjecting, talking over Shaw and pushing his own views forward as some sort of analyst. Needs to be explained to him he is the conduit to the experts view not an expert himself

Was never going to leave. Was never going to get more at another Club then what Freo is going to pay him

No so concerned as we would have had to pay way over the odds to get him and kinda happy we didn't. We are not Carlton.

Would just be twilight clutter we'd have to justify with a spot if we paid top dollar.

We need some quality coming through to replace Swan and Ball as centre square players. That is happening through midfield time at the moment with Adams for Ball. We won't get a direct Swan replacement, but then who does.

There may be a gap post Swan, but we have another year to sort that out. Either a player steps up or we take a FA. I'm pretty confident we'll get some midfield quality through Freeman, Shcharenberg, Kennedy and so on.

The value is really getting him for nothing via FA and possibly getting a trade upgrade for another defender.

I've got a weird feeling he will stay and this fa period will be an immense fizzer.

Either way I'm not convinced he's worth what he would cost. It's the sort of play I could see Richmond trying though.

I'd say he is off to the Cats or Freo.
He would be a handy pick up for Freo.

We got Adams before Geelong, Collingwood has more up side in terms of facilities and he's even a Geelong boy.

Well that is because we had Heath Shaw agree to go to GWS which made the Trade very easy.

I remember before he Choose us it was between us and Cats and we won out.

He would be okay for around 600k but 750k is getting prohibitive when someone like Beams wouldn't be on that.

Yeah I think the Bucks factor helped out here as well. I think he coached Adams at the AIS or something right?

Shame about Mundy. I know he would have cost us a bit, but I do like the way he goes about it.
Frawley I'm not sold on - well at least not for 800k.

I'd be keen on Mitch Clarke if he wanted to have another serious crack at it.

But more than anything, we just need to get games into Scharenberg/Freeman/Grundy/Broomhead/Kennedy/Langdon.

Seems the best available at this point.
Got to ask whether he would help us win a flag in the next 1-2-3 years. I think he pushes us closer to a tilt. Better to have him on our list than not have him.
