Not gonna argue with those traits that he brings, but I still reckon he writes too many cheques that he doesn't have the skills to cash. And as I alluded to in my earlier post, those 2 throws at the end are a huge red flag for me from a mental toughness point of view.Keane was an AA squad member. His intercepting, 1-on-1 marking and ball use (despite the occasional brain fade) was really important. His big weakness is when he’s left one on one and theirs speed on the ball, he gets lost, and a smart forward like Gunston can get out on the lead easily. That’s a weakness that can be covered tactically and with good players around him. I think potentially Butts is a better complement to Worrell and Keane then Murray is.
I don’t see how trading Keane is going to get us a significant upgrade in the midfield that’ll be worth what we lose.
Not in a rush to kick him out the door. But given he is now AA squad, might be more likely to get overs for him than Butts or Murray, which could be a stepping stone to the mid that we need.
Just on Murray, think he is being judged really harshly for his back half of the year. He was really good in the first half, and he is AA-quality (reckon he would have made squad in '23 if he didn't do his knee).

credits his premiership year form to Darren Burgess
