If the rumours are true that (1) ROB may have study-related reasons to head back to Victoria sooner rather than later and (2) the Saints have given Dekonning from Carlton a godfather style offer to join them as their #1 ruck then the move I’d like our list management team to make is to target Rowan Marshall. He’d be a great fit for our group and a big upgrade on ROB.

I'll be shouted down, but Toby needs to show something this year. Likely to return, but I wouldn't say safe yet
Had to happen like I said, he's younger, better depth and future AFL prospect as a KPF that can chop out in ruck.

Would only be a stopgap for a few years though given he turns 30 this year

Would Malcolm Rosas be worth a look as an electric specialist small pressure forward?
Was given the permission to look around in the trade period last year with 1 year left on his contract but chose to remain with the Suns and push his claims for selection via his performances.

Wouldn't mind us asking the question again

Still seems to be out of favour in 2025 and you'd think he'd come very cheap out of contract though he'll likely have other suitors.

CROW TO WAIT

ADELAIDE'S free agent Wayne Milera is keen to get more games under his belt before picking up contract discussions after returning to the Crows' line-up.

Milera will be an unrestricted free agent once the AFL releases its restricted and unrestricted bandings within the next week.

He is entering the final season of his five-year contract he signed with the Crows in 2020 but he has had a horror injury run in that time, playing only 42 games since then due to knee and foot issues.

The attacking half-back, who was a first-round pick for the Crows in the 2015 draft, played his 100th game in round one for the club and is concentrating on stacking games together before getting to his contract call.
The expectation would be Milera would remain at Adelaide, however, he isn't yet at that stage as he gets back into putting games together.

The 27-year-old's best campaign came in 2023, when he played every game for the Crows and averaged 20 disposals a game as well as nearly four rebounds. – Callum Twomey

I would be still asking the question of Taylor Goad at North. They have three rucks on their list and I can't see Goad getting a game ahead of Xerri at this point.
A second rounder should see it done.

Perhaps you missed it, he re-signed til 2028, announced just yesterday

Surely we haven’t tabled an offer to Milera yet

Max Ramsden is the ruck we should be targeting IMO, definitely behind Lloyd Meek and probably behind Ned Reeves as well.

Athletic, versatile, nicely skilled Ruck/Forward and a lot of the hard work's already done re development, also very capable up forward.

Yeah that screams someone who needs an opportunity to get development as first ruck

Played mostly as a forward at Box Hill, but was drafted as a ruck mid-season IIRC?

Wonder what he would fetch as a free agent...
